I am hovering ok, but still cant seem to keep the heli inside a 6' square. Would lowering the head spead help slow things down a bit or should I leave things alone until I can hold a more precise hover?
I have the 13 tooth pinion on the motor, with 2150amh 15C lipos.
I have the expo at 0 for both evel. and ail.
It still seems to take alot of stick movement to control the heli, which I dont like. Should I put some positive expo in to make it more sensitve (futaba radio) around center (less stick movement)or not?
Also: I dont seem to get very long flight times out of this battery. Would going to the 11 toothe pinion help with this also?
I have the gy-249 gyro and it is in Heading hold mode. Do I want to keep turning up the gain until the tail wags, then back off a little bit? Heli still seems to drift nose left a little.
Your opinion on these matters would be much appreciated.
By the way HAPPY TURKEY DAY
Mike
Ps: I have the 35 amp ESC and the 3550 motor.

If you can hover the blade cp with the bell hiller grips you should not have much trouble with the t-rex. There is however a lot more vertical power. Double check to make sure that your swash plate is returning to level after you give it a cyclic command. If it is not then you are chasing the helicopter all over the place and it is much harder to fly. There are many different things that could be causing this from tight linkages or loose arms that are binding. The 11 tooth pinon will slow the head speed down and give you longer flight times. But if you are not having trouble with added vertical power as compared to the blade you can just leave it be. Another thought is that your lipo may be bad and even with the 13 tooth pinon your head speed is low and all of the controls are sluggish. Do you have a tach? You want anything from 2400-3000+.

As said above check to make sure servos are centering after a movement.
Also I noticed on my SA some of the control arms and so on were a little tight from the factory. When I would move the fly bar up and down by hand it was a little tight as well.
I fixed those and it hovers hands off... for a few seconds anyway .
Also I used cheap servos on the SA, HS55 and it still hovers very well, Well enough to fly indoors nose in and not be uncomfortable.
