I just got my new Trex in the air today. I must say what a great bird. After playing with the trims a bit I shoved the throttle forword and into a nice 4ft hover she went. I hovered and landed a few times finishing off the battery pack. second Flight I got half a battery on and figured out why all the post say don't use the 325 carbon(plastic) blades. Boom stike on a hard bounce !!! I broke a SF arm to. Question one should I be using the wood blades to practice hovering on? Should I go ahead and get cnc SF arms or is that asking for more breakage? Cost is not a issue on CNC I will make them myself. Thanks for the help in advance.

Setup:
Trex 450 HDE
Futaba 6EXHP
ALign BL35X
Align 3550 KV
Swash Futaba 3107
Tail HS-50
CSM HLG 200
DN Power Charger
2x DN Power 15c 2150mAh
Gorilla Paddles
Align CNC Seesaw with bearings

My first 20 flights

Now then Do,nt blame the blades for the problem. I have had maybees 20 hard landings with my Trex without a blade breaking. Why? Practice and more practice and you win . I wanted to be doeing 8s and inverted from day one but was aware very quickly that that costs . I listened to my experienced and done the exercises he made me do .Boreing but saved me £/$ on parts. Used standard blades and still use them ,no extreme flying but then I want to fly scale. Take your time and enjoy the experience or pay for your /mine lack of flying skills good luck for your future
