I am an official celebrity!!!

Well, after a whole year of the local newspaper wanting to do a story about me flying my helis, they finally got a chance to interveiw me. The lady who did the story did a great job, don't get me wrong, but some of the stuff she wrote made a few things sound better that what they actually are. A few things were twisted and stretched a little too. I would assume that the regular no-rc-heli related person wouldent know any difference anyway, but for the real heli guys, you will see exactly what I'm talking about. Read the ad and you will see what I mean. One misprint in the whole deal was supposed to be "Ricks RC" not the printed T and T hobbies.....oh well.

It is a PDF file, the ad is on PAGE 7.
Here is the PDF....... http://www.libertyhillnewspaper.com...issue.php?id=53

And here is a pic PaulJC sent me. THANKS PAUL!

Thanks,

Joe

BTW......that picture was by Mike Westbrook.....not Diane Pogue, it was just with her camera!

You have a 7ft heli?

Congrats! Not just a short column but 3 columns and a large picture, nice.

"Local Man Flies and Builds Radio-Controlled Helicopters for Fun"

Strange title, you would never see titles like this over here.
(1) why the stress on "local man"? Shortage on local mans
(2) Why so much stress on "for FUN"? Is it so exceptional over there to do something for fun?

Yep, most of this stuff is what she figured, I never told her the length, height of an auto, or peices to a heli. It's kinda cool, everyone that sees me around town now says I'm the talk in the coffee shops! LOL!
