Hi all.

Maybe this is a stupid question but cant get the zoom 450ic to work with my 9c Super.

What heli program do I have to use for the zoom 450ic?
The zoom 450ic is a 120 CCPM I have tried a few difference programs but cant seem to get it to work.

My receiver is a Futaba R146ip 6 channels PCM 1024.
My Transmitter is a Futaba 9C Super.

The servos I use are 4x HS-65HB and a HS-56 for the tail plan on using a Futaba Gy 401.
Got a 2000mah receiver battery.

Hope that is enough info.

Rely hope on getting it to work to day

Flemming.

I break I buy I am learning to fly :p

Whats not working?

The 146iP needs a single conversion short FM crystal and the transmitter modulation needs to be set to PCM and if its 120 degree ccpm the swash type is SR3

Are you having a programming problem or is the reciever not responding or what?

Hi BarracudaHockey.

No the receiver and all works fine it where just the swash type I needed to know.
I am not all that good at writing English so it can be hard to explain things some times

But what I where looking fore is what you wrote “if its 120 degree ccpm the swash type is SR3” That’s what I had trouble finding.
I have had it on the same swash program I use for my T-Rex and my Raptor 50v2(Not stored on the same model)

Hope you can understand what I am trying to say

But thanks for your help now I can get my Zoom 450 IC ready for it’s first test flight

No problem I've done up 3 120 ccpm choppers with a 9c so if you have any questions let me know.

I'll tell you this up front. Get used to thinking function instead of servo. What I mean is, if a function (aileron for example) is backwards you fix it in the SWASH AFR menu, or if you need more aileron throw or elevator, this menu effects the entire FUNCTION, if 1 servo is going the wrong way you fix that in the servo reverse menu.

Hi again BarracudaHockey

Thanks for the info

When I read the first post from you I went straight up and set my 9c up to SR3 but had problems getting the servos to go the right way
But your new post fixed that problem as well

I must admit that setting up a 120 degree ccpm heli is much harder then my rappy ore T-Rex but also got help from the other pilots in the club for that.
This zoom is the first heli I tried to set up my self with out another person to look over my shoulder and check the settings.

Looks like I might be able to get it up for a test flight tomorrow

But looks like I need a Y cable ore 2 (cable splitter) there is not enough channels for my voltage checker and my GY 401 ore am I doing something wrong??

Channel: 1/6 for Roll. (Cant get it to work on other channels)
Channel: 2 for elevator.
Channel: 3 for engine.
Channel: 4 for GY 401/Ruder.
Channel: 5 for GY/Gain

Now I need 2 for voltage checker and one for the battery witch channels is best to share??

Flemming.

Y it with the gyro gain, the gyro only uses the signal wire and the voltage monitor only uses the ground and power wires.

Hi again.

Got a new problem with my zoom 450IC
I have tried all I can think off and I just can’t get the pitch right.

Every time I try to adjust the pitch my swash plate end up being out of level (It is higher at one side and lower the other side)

Have tried to adjust the links from the servos and the links from the swash plate and up to the blades. And the small linkages there are attached to the blade holders. Still cant get the pitch set right

Cant get the pitch to be 0 at mid stick and I don’t know any thing about pitch curves

And my pitch gauge (fore micro helies) only goes to +10 and –10 but at full – the pitch is more than –10 (cant say how much more) and it is the same thing at full + pitch

Did not think that getting this zoom 450 ic to fly would be that much of a problem
Had hoped that I could get it to fly today but that’s to late now

“Corsair” sounds like a sweet plane. Don’t got retracts on my Corsair but it is also my first plane with a IC engien on it
Just hope on some good weather soon so I can get to fly it for the first time

Flemming.

Edit: Some pictures of the heli and my micro pitch gauge if that can help

I break I buy I am learning to fly :p
