I bought a eco8 2 years ago built the kit in 2 nights. And now 2 years later decided to install electronics. Might even decide to fly it, will this be an average heli to learn on I plan on using mechanical mixer and add eccpm radio and brushless later after I crash it excuse me (learn to fly)with brushed and 4 channel. If I destroy it should I choose a different heli Or should I try a different model all together.

Just finish building it and go fly. Mechanical mixing will be just fine. Maybe in another 2 years eCCPM will be better for you. Doubt very much you could tell the differernce.

The boom mount is for the tail/rudder servo. Unless the heli already comes with a boom mount don't worry about it.

I learned to fly on an Evo 50 with the mechanical mixing. I was given the chance to fly aN Evo 50 with eCCPM mixing and I, with my limited experience at the time, could tell NO difference what so ever.

Build that puppy and get in the air!

Thank you guys for all your help I had a hard time believing electrical vs mechanical was that big of a difference especially for new pilot. I'm gonna finish it up with mech mixer and buy the tail boom supports i think this might be a wise decision for the eco boom in case of hard landings. Worst case it looks cool for 20 bucks.

again thanks to all
