How many batteries and chargers do you have for your 600 and what do you think the perfect number of batteries is for you? I've got 6 now and use two charging stations. I've spent more on batteries than anything else. But 6 seems to be a good number.

Ive got 4 packs, and that is plenty for me - as I have another heli, I am always able to fly whenever I feel like it. Six would be overkill for me, I could even get by with two packs when i bring multiple helis to the field.

I sold my 450se, got tired of crashing and repairing. I don't have that problem with the larger 600. So the 600 is my only heli, thus more batteries.

Currently have the TP 1010C and 210 combo and (1) TP 5000 6S pack ... picking up another pack this Friday ... as funds become available I will get more. For my 450SE I have 3 packs but they are easy to recharge at the field. The 600 packs are a little bit more of a challenge .. I'm currently looking into buying a generator for charging at the field.

do you really need a generator?cant you just charge the batteries off of your car?i've been told that it isnt easy to charge off of your car,that you would have to have the engine runnig or you couldnt do it and that you would damage your cars battery or even the cars generator,damn it now i will have to buy a generator too,oh and let me guess,a power inverter too,

i currently have only one flightpower eveo 20 6s1p 4900 but i think 3 packs would be suficient.i think i would rather have more batteries than buying a generator and a power inverter,it is too many gadgets just to fly,the batteries would be way better IMO,since you would be all charged up and ready to Rock And Roll

2 lipos for the '6hundsky at the mo..

one TP 15C 4200 6s2p
one TPX 5000 6s1p

The first lipo will be in the logo from now on, so I guess I only have one lipo for the 600 right now. Would be nice to have more, but I bought more heli's instead I get lots of flights on the 450, then use the 600 for the "grand finale"

I've got 4 batteries:

2 Align 4400
2 Align 4200

I've got THREE chargers:

AstroFlight 109 with Hyperion LBA10Net
Schulze 330D with Hyperion LBA10Net
TP1010C w/210

I picked up the TP combo for a good price, figuring I had to try it out. I like it so much, I figure I'm going to get rid of one of the others. I just haven't figured out which one, yet.

Soon, I'm going to pick up a couple of FP4900s, and keep them around for when my Align packs go belly up.

Damn, I've only got one battery for my 600 but at least it's the best one going, a FP4900EVO20 one . Got three batteries for my 3DMP but only ever use one (the EVO3700 10S1P) because the other two just won't dish the A's out anymore and the weight balance is different so it's just easier to stick to the one battery. When I win the Lotto I'll get another couple or so .

I've got the Schulze 330 and the TP1010/210V but the Schulze only comes into play when the TP gets tied up, I'm much happier with the balancer option, and the TP charges so much quicker.

I use a 'Leisure Battery' of 110A and get a good 3/4 charges from it. I can pull two charges off the car battery before I take that down too far and need a 'jump start'.

Being in a club helps as I fly, then chat / teach / read etc. while charging so I'm not sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for another go . Rate of fly to crash is such that if I could fly 'back to back' packs then I'd be spending a lot more cash on repairs anyway .

Cheers,
Richard.

I got 2 FlightPower EVO 4900's at the moment and 1 ThunderPower 1010/210 charger balancer combo.

I would like to get another set of EVO 4900's and another TP1010, but I will wait and see if I continue to like this electric stuff... for know, I'm in love!! So much better than glow!
I really don't miss the fiddling with needles, glow plugs, glow shots that are empty, starters that won't turn over the engine because the batteries are dead...etc etc

Cheers,

Richard

Get a RadioShack 25A Switching Power Supply for your generator. You will be able to charge upto 7-7.5amps with it and cut down on charge time at the field.

I've got:

4 = Schulze 636
2 = Thunder Power 1010C
4 = Orbit Microloader

I hate waiting, charging one pack at a time

Lost count on battery packs...don't want to know total $$$ spent on lipos.

Two EVO4900s, a TP1010/210 combo and a small 1250W generator I puchased from ebay.

Thinking of getting a second charger, maybe a 109 and another couple of EVO packs.

I am flying for 12 minutes on two packs, so it would be nice to have two sets of everything in order to be ready to rumble every 30 minutes or so.

It's easy to find an excuse to do wrong. Hard is not to find an excuse to do right.

They need to start selling those seperately.
