Theres a hell of a difference between a X850XTPE and a X800GTO, not just in price but in performance also. The X850XTPE sells for around $400 brand new and the X800GTO2 sells for around $130. You are falsely representing your sale.

I would be pissed because he is advertising it as a X850XT PE and its actually a X800GTO2. These 2 cards are massively different. This isn't something a bios flash is going to fix. Just for starters the clock speeds on the GTO are way lower than the XTPE, and the GTO only has 12 pixel pipelines and the XTPE has 16. The GTO2 would never be able to turn the clock speeds that the XTPE is capable of.

You need to read tech specs at guro sites about this card sapphire is the only GTO on the market that the disabled 4 pipelines can be reopened by bios unlock it does have 16 pipelines..

I didnt mean to make you upset about this I agree he should not be advertizing it as the XTPE but should advertize it as unlocked GTO to be almost equivelant.. and yes it does turn the same clock speeds with overclocking afte the unlock and it is stable at those speeds. I happen to build Hiperformance machines for a living and have currently this card in my grandsons machine and my machine untill I upgraded it

Again sorry if I made you upset ThunderROB edit YOUR POST UNLESS YOU HAVE ADVERTIZED THE WRONG BOX.

I also build high end gaming machines as a side job. I am currently running a X800 Pro bios flashed and overclocked to a x800xt pe and is also water cooled, but it will not hold it stable for very long. Theres a reason the card was sold as a gto2 instead of a XTPE. The card cannot hold XTPE clock speeds and stay stable, it also cannot hold 16 pipes stable. If it could it would have been boxed as a XTPE and sold for a few hundred dollars more. I dont need to read the "guru tech sites" to tell me what I already know.

I dont care if you have this card overclocked and bios flashed and it runs fine, put it next to a REAL XT850XT PE and then overclock both cards and see which one you would rather own. Mine runs fine also but its not a real X800XT PE now, nor will it ever be as fast as the real thing.

There is so much that I dont know that I dont know how much there is that I dont know
Funny you say that as it is all wrong. My uncle is the owner of Canada Computers... i think i know what i am talking about.

The X800GTO2 is the exact same card as the X850XTPE, same chip set, same core, same ram, everything is the same. It was packaged as a X800GTO2 because ATI came out with the new gen X1000 cards and needed to get rid of the old chips. PLEASE do some reserch before you fuk up some one's post.

It runs 16 pipe lines, and exceeds the 850XTPEs stock speeds.

The bios is flashed to the 850xtpe, and runs just as good as my other 850xtpe CF card thats on my back up rig.

Your a high end computer builder and uses a x800xt........ you sure do know about "high end"!

Thanks h2jringo, as least some one knows what they are talking about...
So thanks....

I don't have to own the high end stuff to build high end stuff. And when I bought the X800 pro it was "high end", I had to wait to buy it when it was first released and I just haven't upgraded yet (too busy spending my money on heli's and snowmobiles). It was bought as a X800 Pro VIVO, flashed the bios to a X800XT PE, runs the XT PE clock speeds, has the identical ram and core as the XTPE does. Does that make the card a X800XT PE?,, Hell No, its a flashed X800 Pro. Same as your card, its a X800GTO2, not a X850XT PE.

The X800GTO2 overclocked and bios flashed to the X850XT PE will not run next to a REAL X850XT PE also overclocked.

SELL THE CARD FOR WHAT IT IS and I will stop fuking with your post!!
