I'm interested in using a LOGO 10 as an aerial photography platform.

Want to lift about 400-500 grams over stock heli weight.

I'm swamped with motor choices!!!! The Hackers seem popular.

Not shopping for a cheap price, do want reliability though.

Not planning on doing any agressive flying at all.

Hope to use existing NiMh packs (7.4v at 3300mAh) x 2 to get 14.4v
Both packs weigh 720 grams (yeah I know they're heavy !!!)
They can pump out a steady 30A continuous 35-50A Bursts

So here's what I want to know

1. Motor Choice
2. Pinion selection
3. Headspeed with above items
4. Comments about my choice for batteries

Who's a good Mikado dealer in the US????

Thanks in advance to all who reply to my questions.

Hi,

I think this setup looks good:

For great Mikado dealers in the US you can try readyheli.com and fxaermodels.com - great service!!!

I went with the TANGO 45-10. I talked to alot of people the all said the same thing about a power set up. JAZZ/TANGO. They say its the coolest low ampdraw set up out there. But this is all my accumilation of reading and talking to others that are more informed.

I like readyheli but esprit models is also big on mikado.

As for lipo's I would go with 6S thats gonna be good power but not kill you on lipo price's. And with the Trex 600 running on 6S, That size lipo will be readily availably almost everywhere. 8S or 10s would naturally be better but the prices pyramid with the bigger lipo's

Here are some pics of my logo10 AP setup.

http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t299688p1/

I am running an older hacker b50-13l motor and a CC 60 ESC. I decided to use a nimah pack to run the receiver, servos and gyro. I am using 4000 4S1P lipos from max amps and getting about 11 minutes of flight time after only the second charge of the batteries (I have two). The heli is very stable.

I've been very pleased with the setup.
