Realised I had post this on the e raptors forum DOH!
Try again....
Anyone had experience of this:

I have been flying for a couple of months a new webra 55 in my R50, I liked it that much I replaced my other two R50's with the same engine.

I had been tuning my 540 gyro and messing around a bit with different configurations and fuel mixtures.

My R50 started to develop, what I can only describe as a resonance noise (drone). It is not constant but intermittent at 2 - 3 second intervals.

At first I thought I had altered my gyro to much, I also noticed I had caught the tail push rod guide, IE slightly hunting tail sound. I also change the tail blades and the gyro.

After further testing I am now thinking it is engine resonance as when I have a low RPM or a very high RPM it disappears. But at around 1750 rpm its their.

My next move is to change the fuel lines.

Any suggestions please?

I started to develop a resonance on one of my raptors it was the canopy grommets, one had worn through allowing the canopy to vibrate on the mounting post.
Hope it helps

As well as the grommets, it may be the screen. Try flying without the canopy and see. Also check your seesaw and mixer bearings as I remember having a kind of resonance problem relating to that. How ell are your main and tail blades balanced ?

Thanks guys, but I think its more of an engine pipe drone noise, but I'll try with out the canopy today if I get the chance.
