Hi Guys,
I was wondering if you could help me out> I am new to the sport and have just had given me a concept 36VR. Itook it to the flying field on Sunday and the Club Trainner told me that the head speed needs to be increased som when I got home I altered the Hovering pitch and took it onto my back garden to test it out. When I started to increase the throttle everything seemed ok until I moved the sick 1 notch pased mid-stick, when I did this the engine cut out. I have tried everything but it still cuts out 1 notch passed mid-stick. Can anyone please advise me on this.

Thanks in Advance
Graham

Altering pitch does not necessarily change head speed, unless to was too much pos to start with. If you INCREASED pos pitch, the motor is probably bogging. I doubt that is the case, since a small adjustment to pitch shouldn't do that.
Did you change the pitch on the radio or the blades?
It sounds more like a carb adjustment. A few clicks lean or rich should get results.
If you need to increase headspeed, change the throttle curves in the radio.

Where's that EASY button?

It begs the question......why didn't the "Club Trainer" alter everything for you so at least you know the heli is fine?

I realise that at some time you need to know how to do it yourself but if you are new to the hobby you probably need all the help you can get

I changed the pitch on the radio. Initially it was set at +14% and I altered it to +21% this is when it started to cut out so I changed it back to 14% and it still cuts out.

I need as much help yes I agree BA. I have had the heli for about 2 months now and haven't even been on a buddy lead with the "Club Trainer" yet.

More Advice much appreciated.
Thanks again guys

I would think it would be the carb then.

Try this:
start the engine and keep the engune at idle.
Pinch the fuel line at the carb.
It should slightly idle higher before it dies, as the motor is leaning out.
If it still runs, without cutting off, your mixture is too rich.

This could also indicate a bad glow plug, or a alack of fuel to the carb. Are all the fuel lines free of kinks? Because it was used, Have you had the fuel tank apart and checked the clunk line?
