Not funny at all. It's too bad some idiot posted that crap. Videos like that give our soldiers a bad name. The morons who shot that video need to realize that others will use that video to fuel the hatred against the U.S.

True, someone's probably gonna use it as ammo against the U.S. but that's the kind of thing that needs to be shown to the people. people always naturally focus on the negative side of things. It's human nature... And of course, terrorists would use something like this to outrage Iraqi citizens even more..

For example, imagine a US serviceman who goes overseas and saves dozens, maybe hundreds of lives. He comes home after his tour and celebrates by going out and drinking. After drinking, he gets in a car and hits someone crossing the street... Is he a hero? Or does he deserve to rot in a prison for the rest of his life? Is he a good person or a bad one?

False argument. You don't get to kill someone just because you saved someone. They don't work as credits that you can cash in.

True some want to to focus on the negative. That is obvious in topics like this. Especially since you seldom hear about

"Six new primary care facilities, with 66 more under construction; 11 hospitals renovated; more than 800 schools fixed up; more than 300 police stations and facilities and 248 border control forts. "

"Added 407,000 cubic meters per day of water treatment; a new sewage-treatment system for Basra; work on Baghdad's three plants continues; oil production exceeds the 2002 level of 2 million barrels a day by 500,000"

"The Ministry of Electricity now sends power to Baghdad for four to eight hours a day, and 10 to 12 for the rest of the country. Iraqis are now free to buy consumer items such as generators, which provide some homes with power around-the-clock. "

Quotes from Dean G. Popps, principal assistant secretary of the Army for acquisitions, logistics and technology. Washington Times.

Seems to me the kid just made himself MUCH more thirsty by running for that long....only to get jacked of it at the end.

Timing is everything

False argument? What does everyone know Bill Clinton for? How about OJ Simpson? The FIRST thing on peoples' minds when they hear Clinton's name.. Monica Lewinsky. And people have all but forgotten OJ Simpson's NFL career and now relate his name with the murder of his wife. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Clinton's ability to manage the national budget and OJ Simpson's NFL career justify what they did. By no means am I saying that. All I'm saying is that positive achievements always lay in the shadow of negative ones.

And did I say that someone has a right to kill someone after saving other people's lives? HELL NO. You TOTALLY missed my point. My point is, ATTENTION IS ALWAYS FOCUSED ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF THINGS AND NOT THE POSITIVE. Therefore, although some consider us to be doing a "good job" in Iraq, the Iraqis focus on the negative things such as U.S. troops harassing kids with BOTTLED WATER! HOW LOW CAN YOU GET???

Yea, that's all fine n' dandy, but apparently those kids weren't getting any of that treated water... They were chasing after ONE BOTTLE OF WATER like kids around here chase after a new PlayStation 3!

SOME??? I don't see you living in a country where running water is almost unheard of... I don't see you so desperate for water that you're willing to run down a pint of it for half a mile. And we seldom hear about this kind of thing, not because it doesn't happen, but because the media doesn't want us to see it! Pull your head outa your ass and wake up!
Quotes from Dean G. Popps, principal assistant secretary of the Army for acquisitions, logistics and technology. Washington Times.
I don't care what he has to say. That does not justify messing with Iraqi citizens' minds by dangling a carrot in front of their faces... or in this case, a bottle of water.

Oh, and Havoc, the only negative thing that anyone here recognizes you by is your birth.

I don't know what the rest of your ranting is about but there are those people who only see the negative. And those people post here. And they seem to be from San Francisco.

Funny how people with irrelevant arguments try to use the "You're from San Francisco" insult to try and save face and give them a reason to feel better about themselves..

You are THE San Francisco liberal. It fits you like a glove. I mention some of the good things done in Iraq and you can't help yourself but to compare each and every one of them to that Iraqi gym class. Now you want to throw in "bigot" because San Francisco liberals are supposed to be considered their own race I guess. You already made my point for me but you are just too stupid to realize it. Now throw another hissy.

Extreme San Francisco liberals would never wear a military uniform. I HAVE.

You mention those things and yea, it's great that we're helping them treat their water. But this thread is about THE VIDEO. It's a video of U.S. troops making kids run after their water. Yes, I do realize that we're helping with that. But obviously, the location of where this video was shot is not one of the impacted areas. If it were, I wouldn't imagine a bunch of kids MOBBING FOR ONE BOTTLE OF WATER for what seems to be about half a mile... And even still, does that give us the right to tease kids with a glass of bottled water?

And wtf are you talking about? Iraqi gym class? How old are you? Seriously... What is your age?

How do you know they are teasing? The guy might have his last bottle of water and willing to give it away and rather then pick at random he makes them work for it. That's a concept for a San Francisco lib isn't it? I noticed the adults had no interest in it.
