I am familiar with the radio, personally I use the 9303 with an RS. To answer your question, yes, you can to control the throttle.
Just set things up normally in "normal" or 0 mode with the ECU. Then just set both idle ups to 100% straight across, a flat curve. When the idle LED is solid and you want to fly, just flip the idle up and you will get a 45 second spool up, have pitch at 0. Nothing is instantaneous, switching flight modes to different speeds for the turbine I have not tried and have no intention to. My head speed is geared for my 89K turbine RPM. I do know if you go back to flight mode 0 the ECU requires the turbine to return to idle rpm, my setting is 30K.
