I have 9451's in my heli. Scooterpilot aka Chuck is using 9351's, per JK's recommendation. OS 91 SZ PS's, SB 18's, 12Z's, 5014 Rx's, Fromeco set ups, everything else is identical.

Flying back to back Chuck's N9 & mine today, we both agree they are identical in flight characteristics except Chuck's locks in better on collective during precision hovering manuevers (& my OS hangs on the pipe after hard flying immediately into an auto & Chuck's does not???).

So...I purchased a set of 9351's. I will report my findings after trying them.

JK said that the 9451's didn't feel as positive around center as the 9351's. Probably an accurate observation.

Hi Nolan:

I won't attempt to describe the last two days of 70 - 80 F days of absolutely no wind & dark blue skies.

Hope all is well.

Hey Nolan,

You probably want to know it's going to be 72 degrees here today, with blue skies and very little wind.

I guess I'll go flying.

Have a great Turkey day

LoganAZ:

I've tried richening the top end & it will finally quit hanging on the pipe but it is so rich it has a lot less power.

James Oneal of OMI advises that he should have a replacement regulator avaiable in a few weeks that will allow crankcrase pressure to be used with the stock PS carb that will work well. It should be a bolt on mod.

Have you considered a shim or plug change? What exhaust and fuel? I know James is working on something, but his design goal is not the elimination of a tuning requirement, so that might not work either.

Should you not be richening the bottom end rather the top end if it hangs when you switch to th hold as the throttle will be closed at this point, not open so the main needle won't have much effect.

Switched from Airtronics to S9351 has a better feel.

Fly it like you stole it!
