I am in the process of building a TT md 500 fuse!! I am just wondering where is the best place to place the gyro!! I am using the gy601!!

where ever you can

on the mechs, fuse, your choice. Beware, wood and gyro tape sometimes don't stick well....

gyro mount...

If you are using a wood platform to mount your gyro to, make sure you coat the wood with epoxy first. That gives the tape a good surface to adhere to and keeps the wood from becoming fuel soaked.

Actually, if you coat it with epoxy (normal epoxy) you should *sand* the epoxy before sticking the tape to it. The reason is because most epoxy contains a waxy substance which, when the epoxy hardens, goes to the surface and give the epoxy a shiny finish... which most things won't stick to very well.

That's exactly what I did. Cleaning it with acetone will also help allot, but the effect is the same. Also after sanding, a little hot stuff (very little) will go along way to making sure that the pad on the wood side stays put. On a side note, when I do this kind of thing I always thin the epoxy down with acetone and paint it onto the wood parts.
