my heli has a ccpm head. am i correct in putting the servos in this order:

1 aileron-right of the head
2 elev-rear of the head
3 thr-motor
4 rdr-tail rotar, servo-to-gyro-to-rx
5 blade pitch- left of the head

and mixing 5-1, 5-2, 2-5, 2-1, 5-3
for basic learning. thanks.

For a Futaba receiver and CCPM setup:

Channel 1: left swash servo
Channel 2: rear swash servo
Channel 3: ESC throttle lead
Channel 4: gyro rudder lead
Channel 5: gyro aux lead (if your gyro has one)
Channel 6: right swash servo

On the mixing, I'm not familiar with the 9Z programming. On my 9C, there is a CCPM heli "type" that takes care of the mixing for you.

thanks, i'll look in the manual to see if it has something like the "pre" mixs. i did select something that had to do with the swash, but id didnt do any thing with mixes, i think.

I think you should have a 1s or 3s choice in the swash menu you want the 3s or 120* swash that will do the mixing for you. I use the front servo for ELE ch2, rear left servo for pitch ch6, and right rear servo for AIL ch1 Gyro sensor line (yellow) goes to ch5 and tail rotor servo to ch4. You might have to do some servo reversing (usually ch 1 3) to get all three servos working right for pitch. Clear all of the mixes also....

Tom..... No "D" flying....
