How has been your response for rangevideo downling product.

I am in need of a downlink. Looking out either to buy BWAV setup of 600mW or reangevideo for 500mW . RangeVideo is priced significantly at lower cost, some say its of good quality. Looking for feedback.

Any user experience, inputs on rangevideo ?

thanks,
Puneet

I've been happy with my downlink system. I am using the camera preview setup with the upgraded antenna. I really haven't tested the range of it yet.

Save yourself a potiential headache and go with Black widow. I have had no problems (with BW), quick shipping, great products. The 600mw is the way to go I have several. Price should not always be the deciding factor.

I work at GDRS and I got a BW 600 to test and it worked well until I tried to use it on my heli. When the Tx is exposed to the slightest vibration the video will drop out. There seems to be a manufacturing defect on the board itself. We separated the video ground from the power ground to see if it would help. However because we did this Bill will not stand behind his product. We are going to take our business elsewhere unless he changes his tune.

I completely disagree. I have the BW 600tx/rx combo which works great. But if you later need to contact them for customer service, or repairs, or questions, then forget it...the guy never answers his emails or his PMs from the various forums, and he has no contact phone number to call...basically BWAV is a second-business for him, or so I am told. And by the way, when you are buying the exact same brand of tx, rx, and cameras, then price SHOULD be a deciding factor especially when BWAV customer service is so poor. Check the other forums and you will see lots of guys who are very happy with the product, but very unhappy about the customer service (or lack of it), and are very happy that RangeVideo has entered the market with good quality, good price, and good service....even after the sale. I bought the KX131 camera from RangeVideo and was very satisfied, and the cost was half of BWAV. I will buy all future equip from RangeVideo, not from BWAV.

Good experience

I purchased my first downlink from Range (then tinywireless.com) Last year. It has worked great although the little wires that exit the transmitter have been resoldered a couple of times. Last week I upgraded to a new one. The 500mw 2.4 version. it came with a strain relief plug and a connector cable that is very high quality. It was at my house four days after I ordered it. I wish it came with a simple instruction sheet just for piece of mind even though it is pretty self explainatory how it hooks up there is little information on the website about various ways to connect it to your gear or to power it. I would recommend Range video. They have never dissappointed me as a customer.

I received everthing as promised, range video even included a couple items for free that we had talked about to try out. Great product and extremely cheaper compared to the other guy.

Wireless Video

I have been using Wireless Video Cameras and have been very happy with the downlink and when I sent it back to them for some modifications that I wanted, they did it for free and shipped it back for free. Now that is customer service!!!

I definitely have to post this.

We always talk about bad thinks especially if It’s from a bad service or product.

But we also need to give attention to good think as well.

I just place my order for a new 900Mhz system from http://www.rangevideo.com. Today is Early Monday, now local time is 3:50am. My order was send around 2:45am local time. Paypal confirm the payment at 2:47:56am. Then I decide to see if the payment went through OK. So I went to my bank statement on the net and do the all process with password and all of this.

At the time in Puerto Rico of 3:30am, I got an answer directly from Mr. Vova. It was him, answering question that I ask. Was not an auto reply system.

Definitely I’m surprise about him and all the good think people said. I only can add AAAAAAA+++++++ to his service.

Later will give my feed back about the product!!!

Thanks VOVA

Vova's customer service is the best in the industry let alone their products are awesome. I had a crash which damaged the transmitter ant and vova was able to repair it for 5 bucks It was all my fault that it was broke , but this company stands and cares about their procucts.

I have to also rate Range Video the best. I had a special requirement and Vova devised a way to modify the transmitter for me for a very small or no charge - can't remeber which. At that time, he was out of stock. I placed my order using PayPal, but needed a unit for a project before Range Video's stock arrived. I asked him to cancel my order, and my PayPal account had the money fully refunded within an hour of my request.

I will certainly be ordering from them in the future.
