My battery on my JR 8103 seems like it has seen it's last days. It's going on 5 and I think I got the best out of it. I could order a stock one from JR but I would like some input on what aftermarket battery would be a good choice for me to consider before I make the plunge. I may be able to get a decent one for the price of a stock one (or even save some money) and get a longer lasting time out of it. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
Steven

any decent aftermarket battery in the 8cell square config will work.

the trick is to get the connector. you can either clip off the one
you have and solder it up or find a vendor that can supply the
connector for short $$ (think radical, hangtimes or cheapbatterypacks).

the connector comes in white and black flavors.

Thanks z11355. I had an 800mAh that I bought about 3 years ago and the connector is different. I found it by accident while looking for something else. It's amazing the things we buy and never use I don't want to use it though because it has been sitting around so long and I figure it would be easier to just buy a new one. I don't have a problen soldering the connector to another. Would it be ok to go to a 1400mAh battery and not harm this radio

Thanks
Steven

you can put whatever you want in there. when I had an 8103, I think
I put a 1650 in.

on my 9Z, I have 3 batteries, 1100, 1650 and 2400
