I bought the 6 shooter when my pump went dead, and I have to say I hate the thing. I went out and bought 2 of the electric pumps just to have a spare, you have to have a 12v battery for a starter so why not have the electric pump and be done with it. If your battery goes dead there's always the car battery in a pinch..

I have a six shooter that I can't use. It's for gasoline... The tygon tubing is too stiff which makes it quite difficult to pump.

MK

I bought an MK hand crank pump about 15 years ago and it has been excellent although it does leak a little periodically in cold weather. I figured it wouldn't last forever so about 8 years ago, I bought another one as a spare. It's still in the package. I guess the small leak keeps the gears lubed and it just keeps working and working and working and ..................

That's true. I use a Boxxer electric pump for glo and a geared hand cranker for gasoline now.
