Scott,

As I understand it your company is now the sole US Distributor for this product in the US. Will you be selecting/accepting other US retailers for the Dragonus product line(s) along with selling it yourself? The reason I ask is that some retailers sell many heli brands/lines and its nice to be able to get parts for as many of my helis as possible from one place to save on shipping.

Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe,
Yes, our primary focus will be to set up an effective distribution channel so the Dragonus is well supported locally across North America and Australia. However, we will be selective in who we choose to resell the product as we wish to maintain a high level of consumer confidence. So, with the efforts of Fabien/A2Pro in Europe, RC-TEK in the States, and the extensive high quality reseller network that will be developed shortly, the Dragonus will be properly positioned to dominate the market in 2007/2008 with unmatched and unprecedented support... just watch

Regards,
Scott

Hi Nick,

well, first of all, the Quark is my E-copter project and actually, i work for the European Distributor ( A2Pro) of the Dragonus, from Rcer, as their HElicopter division. This allow me to continue developping my stuffs as a production is very, very expensive and it is impossible for me to absorb such a cost ( around 150 000 euro for launching a realistic production).

All details can be read here ( sorry for the other forum link
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524399

So Nick, i think ( please take no offense) that you mix up something that i'm willing to produce in the future by myself with my little team ( Aldric, David, Joel) and my job as Helicopter Division for a big distributor, who sell a product from a manufacturer in Taiwan with who we work very close. This has been a fantastic opportunity for me to get that job as i can work in a domain that oi love and slowly save the money to produce later the Quark mechanics.
And as i designed a lot of things (most of my ideas have been ripped off, but that is becasue i've been too stupid to show them before release) and as my designs seem to please to some people, i am involved with the distributor and Rcer to make the product go ahead and updated, wich is a very, very positive thing on my opinion.
The t Rex, if i do not mistake, had a lot of various versions and it took a lot of time to have it really reliable.
The Dragonus is a finnished product at least, and the small points rised or requests have been answered so far anr parts produced.
So.... YOu asked for a finnished product.
I would tell you well just buy a Dragonus , but the Dragonus is Distributed by A2PRo in Europe, not me as i'm the heli division for support and developpment, and about my product, well, if you know anybody willing to give me 150K euro then i'll bring you a finnished product in the next couples of week lol
I already have the scale fuselage( fully licensed, and tis cost a lot as well for license, and insurance coverage !) and this is enough for me to produce this at the moment, if they are not sold it is because pre serial version has to be validated by BEll textron Innovation and my insurance as well and this take a long time. And i can even not sell them in the USA and Canada as my insurance company will not cover me there.
Final word ( becasue i could write pages and pages and this has nothing to deal with Dragonus) is that if yourself were willing to manufacture and release something, well you would have two ways to go.
First, like an amateur, i mean producing and selling and nothing else.
Second, like a professional, with licenses for fuselage, insurances coverage, and fully legal.
Honnestly, i'm in the second solution, and you cold even not imagine how it is hard to make something legally and how expensive it is for manufacturing a product. But i'll not get out of this way of working, so yes, i'll finish the Quark (i do not knnow why you named Scott as he has never been involved in my projects ? Scott is a distributor for USa, i'm in Europe lol ! ), but for that i have only one way to proceed, it is to proceed step by step, the fuselages are coming up (if you heard from my projects that is fine, but if you take the information at the source maybe you will see more details )and i have a full time job for a European distributor who distribute the products of Rcer and many others and who is established since 30 years now in this business(http://www.A2pro.fr)).
This company hired me and helps me in my projects and that is already a very positive note for me, now i admit it takes a long time to make a helicopter manufacturing and if you count the number of heli manufacturer in Europe ( i mean real manufacturer, not people having their name on a product only), you will understand, i hope, that with my tiny E-Copter company that i will produce something just with magics.
To finnish things, i'll tell you a funny one, one company in Europe offered me to launch the production of the Flybarless Quark a few monthes ago if it was able to do 3D ( and holly crap, yes it does !), and after discussig and granting him acccess to my FTP server with the Cad files, then i never heard from him again. I'ts a very well known battery manufacturer.. And same from his partners in Belgium, they wanted to buy me 2 molds for fuselages ( that i manufactured)and never showed the money after receiveing my invoice. My company has been very close to colllapse due to the funds i did put in the molds manufacturing ( CNC, LIcenses, insurance again...) and if a day i can release the Quark, it will become possible becasue A2Pro hired my company to make the Dragonus support.
So i'll tell you that i even do not know how i found the courage to continue my project, and i have to thank my buddies Aldric and David for having always been there in the bad moments, and A2pro for having saved my company, and BEll Textron Innovation and Equity Management Incorporation as well for having been so patient and let me the time to find an insurance company without breaking my license contract.
Hope this helps you to understand that there is no link between the Dragonus an my own production, and for further informations, do not hesitate to contact me.

BEst regards,

Fabien (E-Copter / A2pro)

As a T-Rex 450SE owner I am not happy with the tail control...it just feels sloppy to me and just doesn't hold like a tail should in my opinion. All the posts I have read so far about the Dragonus tail have been very positive. I am going to order a Elite very soon and see how I like it compared to my other heli. I am just hoping that parts support will be there cause I will crash it for sure

Align 35 ESC,,,,,will it work with JGF 450TF

I have a unused 35a Align controller I've never used. What's the opinion of running a 450 TF on 3S with a 13T pinion. Will the ESC hold up. Trying to get by without having to buy another Quark.
I will be using a 3S 2100 20c pack.

??? Opinions welcomed.

Don't blame me, I did'nt vote for him.
