Jafa rrElite Veteran Sydney, Australia | The entire point of this thread and modification is to make the flame front go sideways faster before it starts to push down on the piston - this is an important aspect of combustion multiple plugs aid thisThree plugs was just an experiement - I would be keen to hear how well it goes in hard 3D (I may even get BA to do the three plug mod to my YS)

Below Average rrApprentice Sat Down | The YS head is so easy to work on, the top of the head is flat so it lends itself to be worked on anyway up, a radius on the top of the head is a pain but 'we will over come'How was I to know she had a wooden leg

![]() rrKey Veteran Crofton Maryland | quote]"Have u considered the fact that each plug you add your lowering the compresion of the engine ????"Yes you will lose slight compression, this is where the shims come into play[/quote]Question. Are you suggesting removing the stock shim to increase compression? There is one stock shim in the YS91 but you used the plural 'shims' so are you adding shims to your modified head motor. That would decrease the compression. If I remove the shim in my stock motor and will I have more power or will the timing be changed such that there is no advantage to removing the shim?CharlesPlease stand by for faster service!

Below Average rrApprentice Sat Down | The 3 plug engine is still on the standard shim, and believe me it's phenomenal. I have to loosen off the centre plug to start it so compression is not a problem at this present moment time. How was I to know she had a wooden leg
