Hi guys!
I'm thinking about controlling RC Helicopter by Camera and GPS coordinates, but I can only find helicopter with small reach, around 700m. Does anyone know any model?
Thank you!

The NRI system can be made to go several miles. Just needs a downlink system, I know they have done over two mile long flights with theirs.

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

So what you need is a strong microwave d'link that will do several miles.Look up RF-Links.com I think they are in New York, they have D'Links that will do 16 miles. From memory they weigh about 1 kilo and cost $1295 USD

Just curious, for what purpose would you use this technology?

GPS Telemetry

Hello,

Micropilot has released a GPS Telemetry system that works for RC helis AND fixed wing aircraft. It runs about $6,000.

Cloudcap technologies also has a system that is for fixed wing only. This system is by far, very state of the art. They are wrapping un a PTZ mini dome camera that has X23 zoom etc and can be programmed to operate via the GPS guidance. IE: You fly the camera and the GPS flys the palne to keep it withing the camera parameters or Visa Versa.

ANother GPS telem option is Rotomotion. Ops cams and copter for about $6,000 as well..

Hope this helps..
