Don't worry about the Kumeu club guys, changes are taking place as we read.......

I must admit I was a little shocked at Steve's Email informing us that he would not allowing us to donate the roof at the club due to them "not wanting to owe any of it's members" and apparently this was the consensus of the entire committee. Seems strange as Leigh isn’t even a member.

Anyway as I said changes are in motion!!!

Finally we may finally get an Auckland club that is welcoming of everyone not just newbies! I look forward to the day when we can hold a 3D Fun Fly there….. Fun being the operative word within the 3D and the fly.

wont be there stu. Be in Los Angeles on Saturday and coming back Sunday night.
Be at Hamilton in September though.

Also it's just a funkey fuse so I can't lay claim to it being a great scale heli....at least not one I built. But It looks cool and I like it wether it's a RTF or not. By the way...the RTF means only about a weeks work!!! Like there is plenty of glueing and mucking about to fit mechanics.

I'll do night flying on Sunday. Want to burn a lot of gas too. Probably about 140 tonnes.

The event is Aug 23/24 in lovely Rotorua!

The club there is hosting the event, and besides having one of the greatest fields, the local club members come out and help to look after us real nice.

It looks like there will be some of us crazy folks doing some night flying Saturday night, and there will be another group of folks taking part in a scale heli comp.

Should be a great weekend- something for everyone. All skill levels welcome. I've got a room at the Gibson Court Motel- tell them I sent ya- maybe they can you you a great deal, like they did for me!

See ya there- G2

No, not just a night event- that would be a bit silly.

It'll be a day and a half deal, like most other events. Saturday will start around 9a-ish, and finish maybe 5p- then when good and dark- maybe 7p- maybe an hour or so of night flying.

Then Sunday- 9a-ish until maybe 1-2p- most out of town folks hit the road about this time.

BBQ on site will provide lunch each day- bring some dollars for that. There may be a landing fee- fair enough- it'll go back to the local club for giving us the field for the weekend.

Cool??

PM me if I can answer any more questions- glad to assist!

mate im too impatient to break engines in... one tank at rich and im into it. Never had a problem with any of my engines doing this either. My TT53 pulls like a teenage boy on redtube . (I would never tell someone to do it the same, but works for me..LOL) break it in how i intend to fly it is my way.

3 tanks slightly rich for me, and I just make sure I don't bog/load the engine up. Apart from using slightly less pitch the heli gets flown the same

I do 3 breakin tanks then engage the gov (leaving it a tad rich) and hit it. I did it that way with 1 600N and the other I babied for like 10 tanks. They make the same power so from now on, no more than 3 breakin tanks for me. Leigh, I'm with you, give it sh1t from day one and then she knows what she's in for!

Damn Jonny, you JUST beat me to the post on this one...
