What is that, hard to tell from the top, looks like a ranger but then again it almost looks too chunky to be a ranger.

I was thinking eurocopter but i thought they all had those enclosed tails, you know the ones with the big circle round them.

Fenestron Tail.

Not all Eurocopters run Fenestron tail rotor systems. They are expensive and very complex.

Im in Turangi at the inlaws, made the trip up for the weekend so we can leave our kids here till the end of the month while we both work.

Anyways, the Atom500 tagged along with me - I managed to fit in 18 flights on it thru out the whole day .... also told Dean(floydnz) from Taupo area to come down and join me, helped setup his 600E to make flying a bit easier for him etc.

So check out my flying field outside my door step!

Sweet as bro, Am glad I had your contact details - its always better flying with others.
Next time you can come down for the whole day of flying, maybe try some night flying with some strong as strobe lights! or use our vehicle high beaM lights? lol .....
Im guessing you should have your new helis by then!!!!! (and a new Radio) lol
