Kyoshall, I have no comment on the subject. We are not really interested in discussing anything regarding your leader.

Not sure of the exact delivery date for the DX8 yet. The pricing has been released so I expect they will be shipping them soon.

Both the 8FG and DX8 are very good radios, both have features only found on $2500+ radios until now.

They are very similar in a lot of ways, both have SD cards, both can assign switches to be anything, the 8FG has actually got ten channels but two of them are on/off and not proportional. The DX8 has telemetry so if you think that is useful then go for the DX8. If you are into BNF toys the the Spektrum in the way to go, unless you want to have a DX6i for toys and the 8FG for the models you care about.

In other words, Spektrum for toys, Futaba for anything serious

Heli Funfly This Sunday August 22 @ Hamilton
Long range forecast is looking good for this coming Sunday.

9am till dark, it will be a mostly heli day at the Hamilton field. Lots of wide open space and plenty of fun to be had.

Yes there will be a BBQ running at lunch (plus cold drinks)

Everyone interested in helis more than welcome. Please let all your friends know its on.

Hey Neil,

I will be there. If the start is at 9am do you need extra people earlier to help or anything?

Wayne,

I'm not sure how much detail has been released or what has been planned yet but here's what I do know.

28 Nov at the NHMC, Kumeu field in AK. It's the 25th birthday of the club.

There will be a bbq, a few games, a raffle and from what I've heard, some pretty decent prizes up for grabs.

I was given some info about 2 months ago but have forgotten the details now and was expecting an update closer to the event. I'll try to find out more next time I'm out there flying - prob in 2 weeks time as I'll be in the mighty Tron this weekend.

There is very little info on the club website from what I can see:
http://www.rcheliclub.co.nz/index.html

I don't recall seeing any club newsletters or e-mails about it but they may have sent something and I have forgotten about it. I'll see if I can find anything at work tomorrow.

Cheers,
Steve
