nah just winding Kevin up. He'll burst into print soon I guess.
And a little drinking....not a lot. Cutting right down. less food and more excercise. High cholestrol and glucose going up a bit. Fattey has to lose at least 8kg's. Been to the heartcare place today. Got a WOF check done on ticker. Good news is it's pumping like a schoolboy. yay. Bad news is I got a big lecture. Apparently 6.9 isn't good for Cholestrol and 5.9 isn't good for sugar. Weight will bring sugar down and Lipitor for rest of life for the cholestrol.
Bugger....young days honeymoon all over

cost me $1300. Got a super duper electroechosomethingorother. Had to run like a mouse on a wheel and got to look at a picture of the ticker doing it's thing. Should have been a heart doctor. After works insurance kicks in it will have cost me $500 but well spent I reckon. Now I know those chest pains were to do with the back.

BTW...nothing wrong with Footaba's even if they are $hit.

One thing that is wrong with Futaba, they go through battery power like there is no tomorrow
Last Sunday i emptied two full Li-ion 2200 packs, that gives you some idea just how much is going on inside the TX

I suppose it takes a fair bit of power to generate all them pretty colours and to play all that country music on the MP3 player. Dont forget the power to process that high defn photo of the model you need so you can remember what it looked like after it goes in when your transmitter goes flat.............. maybe it drains so fast because it cant make up its mind whether it or the model is going to crash

Question: does the voice prompt tell you its flat before it turns off, or just after??

Good flying weather!

Actually, I was speaking about yesterday

I was the first person to the field yesterday morning- around 9a. It was so chilly- there was ice on the gate lock and fence wire- and I ain't kidding!

I wanted to do some test flights with a couple machines, and didn't plan on being there too long- esp. since the shooters had the place booked from 8a-5p.

Some new folks showed up, and couple plank folks. I got my test flights done, helped out some newbies with their heli- and locked up the field on my way out. I finally left around 2:30p.

The weather cam was all frosty- so not a clear image to see that the shooters never showed up. Plus- I forgot my cell, so I couldn't contact anyone, sorry.

The weather was super, with just some light breezes. It was very nice- but would have been better if some of the other guys were there, too.

Jealous??? G2

I flew all day Friday and it was lovely too. Couple of other guys out there and not a breath of wind. Flew until it was dark and fog was setting in! Then spent 4 hours at indoor having a blast. You have to make time to fly during these winter months. You have indoor helis Steve. Why don't you ever come along???

Yo C- where were you flying on Friday??

I missed ya out at Trentham- I was the only heli guy there, besides the newbies.
One of them had a Belt CP that he was trying to fly- he asked me to check it out for him. Lifted it up in a hover- blades wayyy outta track. Popped a link off- gave it 3 full turns in one direction- and lifted off again to see if I had made it worse. Lo and Behold- it was spot on perfect!
The newbies and a couple visitors were impressed- and so was I! Dumb luck, I reckon!

See ya next weekend?

They aren't $hit. Just another dig at how passionate we get about our choices of a brand. Sparks such debate among a mass of Rc'ers. Like a huge mass-debate really. Maybe why some people think we are wankers for getting so silly about the gee gaws and gadgets to ohh and ahh about that 5% of fliers actually use. I used to get involved in these but find myself strangely detached from the importance of the choice of radio much like the thought patterns I have when picking the blue lint out of my belly button. Quite disinterested.

I have one heli now. I am enjoying the hassle free maintainence and the choices I have to make about which heli I'll take to the field! LOL

They really ought to have a sub section for real machines so helis like Collin's aren't lumped in with all the "super exciting version extra professional" heli's that "retail for $149.99 but today only you can grab yourself a bargain for $39.99 + $30 shipping"

I agree about TM- however- if you use the Sort function- by the 'Highest Price' it's top of the list.
I find it's a good way to kinda sort out the riff raff.

It painted up real nice, didn't it?

It's a shame I already have a couple Hughes'- I bet I could find room for it on the shelf- and Wilbur wouldn't even notice....

I doubt we can rely on anyone posting in the right section on trade me if they did put up a new section but they could perhaps auto-filter higher priced ones like you say into a 'real' heli group.

Awesome looking ship Colin.

on another note, has any one got a 'well looked after' 9 ch jr pcm rx and or a 72.410 chrytal they want to turn into cash?

lastly, you can never have too many nail guns.

BOOOOOOO!!!!

Its been very quite around here the last week, do we need a XYZ Vs ZXY debate to fire things up again?

I think we need to have a winter event, it will be 50/50 as far as weather goes but if we fluke a good day then all good if not then stay at home and fly on the sim.

I will see if we can lock down a date in Hamilton for a mini fun fly and let you guys know.

Indoor flying is on in Hamilton this Friday at 8:00pm if you haven't been able to get out without getting wet at least you can bank on indoor flying being dry

Im going to get a winch so we can drop the cable down so we have a bit more free space, I will sort that out today.

Life is like a bath, the longer you stay in it the more wrinkled you get.

footabas are $hit.

There you go Kev. That normally works.

Or failing that nitro versus electric is another good one.

That should get a mass-debate going.
