Longrangesam> Why do you bring down people who are trying to elevate the status of our country in this hobby? Mr. Chan together with some individuals, (Including myself), are working on our free time to create a tournament that would put us on the history books. Maybe instead of devoting your time to negativity you can give us some suggestions on how to do such an event. Try to help us since you have been to international events. Willy, lets help each other.

on behalf of Mr. Chan by way of Iyoy...

Longanisam> you are right we still have a long way to go. But for your information, Mr. Chan has never been an organizer of any event in the past 38 years, or is not even a keyholder of FAI-Philippines. He has always been a sponsor.

Aren't you proud to see the Philippine flag and Filipinos participate or holding international events? Are you truly a Filipino? We welcome your suggestion in organizing such events, instead of yakking around with nonsense.

We're so sad that you have been in most events all over the world, but had not laid a finger to help organize events in our country. You just yak a lot. As you mentioned that you have participated in international events, that shows you're a good flyer. Why don't you come and compete with the boys. Who knows you might be the next representative for Poland.

You don't even have the guts to identify yourself and put your location where you're from. That shows you're just trying to sabotage and confuse the international public with your negativities.

Dear Ivoy,

I really respect your group in F3C as not Many people in Hong Kong is willing to spend money to hold such big Hobby event for F3C pilots.
A lot of people is talking, talking , but no action as "Talk is Cheap'.

Also, I met your Group in Hong Kong Hirobo cup event and in CACCO event, and your team of pilots was very nice.

So I wish your team will have very successful event.

Thank you for the kind words Vicky. Will you be able to make it to our event? I understand that Hirobo Cup Asia used to be hosted by Hongkong but for certain reasons explained to me by Hirobo representatives(and known only to them), they chose to move the venue to Cebu, Philippines. Also, the original dates April 6-8 turns out to be a major religous holiday weekend here (Catholic Holy Week)so I wish to announce to all that the dates have been moved 1 week later, April 13-15, 2006.

Also, the only category open for all nationalities will be F3C. Hirobo has announced that the P3C event will be limited to local participants only. Please accept our apologies.

Vicky, you are still welcome to come a week earlier to attend the free training seminars for setup and flying to be conducted by our flying staff Alvin and Mark.

longrangesam,

Why would you come in here just to piss on their parade?? Make you feel like a big man? I see that your only three posts are all in this thread. Just don't see what the problem is, these guys are trying to have a good time and promote the hobby, let them have their fun.

mr.longanisam> who are you pointing pinoy talks a lot? you know I already guess who you are. stop pointing fingers and wasting your time. mr. iyoy is kind enough to share his experience, however if you think you are really a good flyer than iyoy, i would like to invite you to sta.rosa field at your convenience. if you are able to win over iyoy and new schedule A and B, I will award you 100,000 pesos in cash. this is to award somebody such a good flyer like you. but if you lose, you don't need to pay in return. is that fair enough for you?

at your side, you seems to refuse to admit that you're pinoy. it doesn't matter as long as you fly better than iyoy. we want to learn from you! why wait until april? let's do it now!

longrangesam,

The starter of this thread simply wants to announce their event this coming April. Other guys welcomed the announcement with enthusiasm.

Your comment is uncalled for. It’s a clear act of an attempt to jeopardizing the event.

To the thread starter, I suggest that this thread be locked to avoid further argument between longrangesam and other members watching this thread.

All of us may be competing with each other in different events around the globe but we all share the same passion, this hobby. Let’s enjoy this hobby with harmony.

It is also nice to have this event announced in the “ëvents” section of RR.

Longrangesam,

Pardon my ignorance, but I do not recall any of Hong Kong Team helicopter pilot participating Hirobo Cup in Philippines as yet...

I'd say you think again before making any further claim as a Hong Kong Chinese, and you spell "Hong Kong, China" in initial capitals in your "Location" description as respect to your country, if you really are from Hong Kong, China!

I personally know Mr. Shakesphere Chan for quite some years, saw what he has done for his fellow pilots, that is why Mr. Chan is one of the few persons in the industry that I respected most. He spend a lot of time, effort, and money to help and sponsor fellow helicopter pilots in Philippines, specifically like Dino before, and the Alcantara brothers now. Mr. Chan has been the "silent supporter" for all these years. You would not be so stupid to think that he could recoup at least half of the money he spent in sponsoring these pilots from his model business, would you? He did this all for the true love of our hobby, and his love for his country. Take a look at the Philippines Team result at CAOCC this year, compare it to just 4 years back, honestly Philippines Team from nothing before, now becomes a force to be reckon with in Asia. Its noble effort from the likes of Mr. Chan and Mr. JP Reyes together with the pilots and supporters who helped bring such glory to the Philippines National Team. I am not shy to say I am also a supporter of the Philippines National Team, I am proud of what the Philippines National Team have achieve today, and what they are capable to achieve in the future, even though I am not a Philippines National.

Behind the username, if you really are a Philippines National, as a man (at least I think you might be...) you better shove your grudge, specifically against Mr. Shakesphere Chan. If you think Mr. Chan could do better, for the love of your hobby and your nation, offer your opinion and help, I trust it would be most welcomed by Mr. Chan.

Further, if you so dislike about "Hirobo Management" as you claim in your post before, go fly other makes! As a consumer you are free to choose, who want to keep you fly Hirobo product that you so dislike?

The Alcantara brothers that you like so much respect Mr. Chan very much, and I'd say so should you.

I look forward to come to Cebu! Mr. Chan called me personally to extend his invitation, so I must come!

Actually, one of your F3A pilots told my friend Johnny in China that you guys are going to have another F3A event in Cebu in May, 2007, is that true? My friends vouched to go to this F3A event, so its highly possible that I might come to both events.

Take care and my regards to fellow pilots in Philippines!

Hi Jason, thank you for your kind and encouraging words. You said it best and I hope this longrangesam guy learns a lot from it.

HC 2007 will be my first heli contest and F3C event, I hope to gain experience, learn a lot, have fun and make new friends. Hope you guys can come. As you know, anywhere in the world of R/C, people spend and enjoy more time in camaraderie and less playing with the R/C

BTW, I'm a fan of your website, please keep the reviews and articles coming

You sound familiar
BLAH BLAH BLAH... I've seen all of you guys fly just recently. I'm not impressed. See you all in Cebu.
longrangesam, I know of only one person who talks this way. What a coincidence, you are the only person I know who refers to Mang Shakes as "Mr. Chan". That's because everyone else calls him "Lolo" or "Mang Shakes". Hmmm, Lasalista ka ano? Okay lang yan, alam naman namin nainggit ka lang. No problem dude, all you have to do is admit it and apologize, it's okay, we'll understand.

BTW, as per request by "Mr. Chan", I'm posting the names of the officially selected members to the Philippine Team to the 2007 FAI-F3C World Championships in Poland, August 2007:

1) Alvin Alcantara
2) Mark Alcantara
3) Julio Manalo

Reserve 'Team B':

1) Ludwig Llanora
2) Edward Ganto
3) ???

Iyoy,

See you in Cebu AND Poland!

Jason

p.s. Get your visas and be there early! I was "running like a chicken without a head" together with Horace Hagen and Koba in Spain when we learned that the Philippines Team could not get their visa because the organizers forget to send out the letter for issuing the visa. Finally you guys arrived just minutes before the opening ceremony...it was that close! I heard that JP pushed the rented diesel car to the limit in order to make it......yeah its not his usual M5....

This time ask Poland to send out the letters early, I don't want to be "a chicken without a head" again in Poland

Futaba Visit
Hi iyoy,
Thank you for joinning our dinner last night with Hatano San of Futaba, Japan. Unfortunately the Big Boss, not able to come due to his Novina, on our way driving him back to hotel, he toll me that he will upgrade your radio to 14MZ, wow congratulation, I send him to airport this morning on his way to Bangkok and Singapore.
The reason that I requested you to post the Team B is to let them be prepare early, I believe there be sevral more to join, but still need your committee to approve and so with the big boss. We need to train new breed, we have to creat a lot more good flyers, like in Japan Many Hashimoto and The U.S. a lot of Curtiss, And this is what we need. And most of our new flyers which I notice They thought they fly good and never able to notice their mistakes and start complainning. I suggest you will have to conduct a F3c seminar prior the pilot select in team B.And My last advice besure your committee will not only chose a good pilot but with good moral character, remember they represent the country.
