Hey a new poster to this thread.

Hard to believe it's hard to find parts for a Raptor. Glad to see you're enjoying the Pantera.

Flew both the Pantera and the Tiger this weekend. Mostly the Pantera. Flew a gallon between the two.

Cheers, Shayne

the reason i say its hard to find parts for my raptor is, i recentlly lost a bearing on the pinion which ruined the pinion, i had the optional gear set installed, well nobody sells just the 11t pinion without having to buy the set, so i had to go back to stock gears or buy another spur gear that i dont need... my LHS, Toads Hobbies has every piece of the pantera on the wall...

YEA!
Pantera II had a few test hops tonight before the club meeting.
I'm going to take Thursday off and fly Pantera I and II. At last I get to start putting a dent in my three cases of fuel.
The Tiger is still a mess and needs some parts.
New 2.4 mod for my 9303 has arrived at the LHS. No more getting hit!
Herc, nice to know your still flying. I have 53 hours on the Tiger. 15 hours on pantera I with only "abut" and hour on pantera II.
Cheers

Hey Bill, I've got over three hundred flights on my Tiger and 83 on the Pantera. I don't want to calculate the number of hours. Too much math. lol I'm amazed I've only had 5 crashes in that time, and one with the Bergen.

Life has been so busy this summer it's nice to find some time to fly.

Finally a chance to get out and fly again this morning. It's been so long that part of my preflight was removing cobwebs.

Just came home for some breakfast and time to head out again. Labour Day weekend. NO WORK!! Lots of flying today and tomorrow I hope.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend. Especially all the new Pantera owners I see on here.

Cheers, Shayne

PS: Of course the Tiger is getting flown too.

I'm in Denver CO this week. I found a few hobby shops that have fuel for my next trip. I will be flying my new Pantera III next week I hope. Back here in November (co) and plan to fly in the mountains.
We have a cabin with a huge amount of room to fly.
Back at home (WA) in the next few days.

Dude,
Thats how its done. Congrats on the fuel burning.
I should have Pantera I tweeked, and Pantera III ready to test fly.
Once that is done I can get into the fuel burning game again.

Keep it up!

Pantera one is happy again!
It's been over a month of repairs and new ship building after the hits that distroyed three ships. I got Pantera I all happy today. Flew in 14MPH winds with no problems. even in the wind the pantera was solid in inverted push outs
Pantera III is on the bench and almost ready for her first flight.

Pantera I is happy. I flew a 1/2 gallon today, and Pantera III should be ready to fly Sunday.
JB, Screamin deal on the Tiger MKI. I just ordered one. This will replace the dead Tiger that was hit a few weeks ago. I have all the parts in stock to upgrade to the MKII.
Life is good again! I will have three ships again not counting the scale ship.

I flew a gallon this weekend split between the Pantera and my SST Eagle. The Eagle sure gulps the fuel!

Had to stop flying the Pantera because of a noisy bearing somewhere. Thought it was the bearing in the clutch bell but it wasn't. I have "The Greaser" coming so I'm going to tear the Pantera down and do all the bearings. The weather is going to start turning crappy soon so I'm going to do all my helis I think.

Bill, do you guys still do a funfly in October?

Shayne,
What do you mean the weather is starting to get crappy?
We do our best flying when the snow flys!
Without a club field, our "rotor round up" is on hold for October.
The new club I'm with will not allow any fun flys. The owner of the land is bit up tight and we need to follow his rules.
Sooo. It's shut up fly season comming to snow drift near you.
I think you will be amazed at how much ugly stuff comes out the bearings when you use the greaser! Worth every penny.
Hope all is well a few clicks North of my location.

By crappy weather I mean the rain and wind. We usually get that for a bit before the nice "winter whites".

Too bad about your field and the fun fly. I was trying to find an excuse to get the trailer on the road for a trip to a funfly. Oh well, a couple more fishing trips and then I'll winterize it I guess.

Things are great North of the 49th. Likewise hope things are good to the South.

Now that I have my new "single" digs. You always have a place to crash...err sleep. I'm only 10min away from the new field!
