Just like Dblex said, the Pactra polycarbonate window tint is good. I have used it many times, just spray on a few coats, and voila!! tint. Luckily, I have not thrown out my MD530 box just yet. I will go break it down in the morning, hopefully those side windows are inside :-)

they were in mine too, that little box up front..

FYI, the strut holes in the fuse were a pain for me dont forget to lubricate everything when working it in and out for alignment and adjustments! it will make life a whole lot easier!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the warning on how much a pain it was to put them in the rear!

Very nice BradBird, loving the tints

Dblex, run the exhaust to exit in the correct place.

My 530 is taking longer than expected, I'm installing Nav lights with a Helitronix controller and adding engine cooling panels.
I've also installed a Fromeco pin flag and remote glow up front in the wood reinforcing - pics to follow, but it's very neat!
After all this and a test flight, it's going for a completely different paint scheme.
However, I'm not gonna rush it as I'm enjoying this, my first scale project, and it gives me something to due through the winter.

Hi there, my kit just came...this thing is big!(my first scale kit)...so i'm wondering before i screw the frame back into the fuselage, would it be wise to change all the fuel lines?,there only 3 mons old and it's winter here(-28) so i wouldn't get to fly it for at least 4 months ,i hope sooner tho because this thing has almost got me sleepless,i even took a day off work just to put it together
lol!!..thanks ahead

I know the feeling
Vin,do everything you can to have it assembled correctly, to avoid having to take the model apart. It would be a pia to take it apart, only to change the fuel line. But then again, there's nothing wrong with with preventitive maitenence.

Well, for one thing, I used a Dremel with a cutoff wheel to trim the excess off... too thick for scissors. Then, using the coarse sanding drum on the dremel (use LOW speed) I cleaned up all the edges. For the front window, start at the top and hold the windshield in place with some tape and your hand , drill on hole at a time, insert the screw and washer (no loctite yet) and hand tighten, then move on to the next hole, working your way around the edge.

LOL, did that with some of the "other" 1/16 holes!

I was just making sure hands could fit all the way around to loctite after fitting!

Got to smoke my windows before a major cold front! that would have set me back a few days! Windshield is going on tonight!

Finally got a few pics of my MD530, nothing special. I will post better pictures when I get more time during the day.

I relocated the tail servo to fit the Trex 600 Mechanics into the fuse....

from the boom mount onto the tail boom holder with a wood stand-off.

I also had to open up some room for the anit-rotation bracket...

The elevator servo required more room to fit the 600 mechanics into the fuse, so it was relocated...

Lastly, I decided after a few flights the heli needed some new clohtes, so I am now in the process of stripping the olive drab in favor of something different???? Don't know what yet...

Never found the side windows in the box, called and ACE is sending me come replacements.
