How does the Hobby Lobby pricing for these two helis sit with most people? Seems a bit expensive to me with no motor but perhaps the quality and design is right up?

On the IRCHA Jamboree residence hotel

At the parking lots beside pilots residence hotel. Pilots were flying their best electric RC Helis for street fights.

Translation for above post by Yuyu

It is night already when I arrived at hotel for the IRCHA event.
This is my first time at IRCHA.

After we arrived, Nick brought us to see some night time helicopter action around the hotel. I snapped some shots with my camera. Nick said that most pro flyers gather around during this time.

Everyone performed hardcore 3D right on hard pavement with barely enough light to see the orientation of the helis, simply amazing.

I thought I share some of my photos with you guys~

We are one of the very first players to fly Mars and Poseidon (we are in HK), this helicopter is fading out here. The reason why is that the parts are too expensive (because the price offered to the distributor is expensive too!!) and they never listen to customer's voice. The distributor or dealer has no choice but have to move the price up to maintain a reasonable profit margin. An alternative is to promote and sell it as a service (which I did in the past) without any gratitude nor respect from Gazaur!

We used to have 3 dealers here (yes, I was one of them), now only one left, and I believe he will no loner doing it because the number of players isn't high enough for sustaining his business. I believe because of the relatively high retail price, same situation will exist in the US. Why am I so sure? You are having exactly a same situation that there's only one dealer selling this helicopter and parts.

It won't survive long because of the poor marketing strategy.

Its a shame Andy, i know you tried hard. We hard the same thing here in Australia. Mr Yuyu knows better than his dealers and cutomers.

I love my 2 machines but i feel they will become a wonderful mantle piece display.

we can never have too many, can we ?

I would love to have one of these machines, but the prise is a deal killer, and there no guarantee parts are going to be available in the long term.

Its like Subaru.

That's what happens when you get engineers running the company (Yuyu is a civil engineer), you'll get quality stuff. But engineers just don't cut corners to save cost or make really really good marketing plans (no offence Yuyu).

When you get a business man running the company, you'll get cheap stuff, but good enough to fly (like the initial T-rex). So they cut into the market first like a blade...Then offer all the upgrades (which means they know the non-upgrade parts are not good enough but sold it anyway).

Frankly, I'd like to see the company become more successful...however, I'd hate to see them lower their quality.
See my gallery, I have T-rex SE, 3Dpro, hornet, MX400, and everything that's out there. Nothing beats Gazaur's helis!

You do get what you paid for^^

The Subaru and I assume you own one and don't mean to offend you by my statement. I have owned 2 in my life and I found them a very nice auto but nothing remarkable about them back then (20 or so years). In fact I had to sell my last one when I move to Florida because number 1, I could not get it servest because there were no dealers within 250 miles, and 2 no other dealer would touch them because Subaru wouldn't honor the warranties. Now times have changed, new management, polices, technology, and service has brought Subaru up to what is today.

The same goes for Heli's like the T-Rex, When it came out there was nothing on the market like it, the only thing close was heli's like the Zoom and Shogun which need to be upgraded before they could fly as well as the T-Rex out of the box.
Align didn't dominate the market in the early years because of cheep plastic parts to get there foot in the door. They dominated because they had a better product, didn't prise them self out of the market, and have continue to improve there line. And now there's hundred of knock-off T-Rex Waneta-bee's that didn't have to put in the R&D.

Now in comes Gazaur Mars and Poseidon, total new design, new innovations, clearly a far superior flying craft, but has gone nowhere, Why? It all come down to management, and sorry to say is clearly is lacking in that department.
I would have rather see a version come out with a few plastic part that the people could afford to take a chance on, then a fully bling-ed out, unproven model that has out priced the market.

Sure the T-Rex SE is in the ballpark prise-wise as the Mars and Poseidon, But Align is a proven commodity, Gazaur is not and I hope it has the time to change.

My bad for the metaphor. However, I do love my 2005 legacy wagon and feel that they are much better car for its price.
I haven't seen any other car at the price range that have 4WD, lots of space for load, and can tow 3000lbs. I can basically use it like a light truck.
Anyways.

I think Gazaur have great product, R&D, but lack marketing.

I wish Gazaur can find distributors and work things out with their distributors. Hopefully we'll get a great product at a great price and support. With what I've seen, the management at Gazaur have great positive attitude. I do believe they'll find distributors that can successfully market their products. Without distributors overseas, I don't think a small company in Taiwan have the energy to provide what we ask (they are small, quite a bit smaller than TT & Align)
