I was approached by a real estate company and asked to shoot a 100 acre peice of property. I've done work in the past with dwellings for another real estate company but never with that much property involved. The catch is, I do this with the align t-rex. Is it at all possible to cover 100 acres with a micro heli? I'm guessing the answer is no

I'd use a full scale and hang out the window. You can get 100 in the frame but it's gonna be from a low angle.

I would agree with Wes. I think you could get 100 ac in the photo but it will probably be too low of an angle. I think I would try it and if they don't like it then don't charge them and don't give them the picture. It's not like it cost you very much to fly the T-Rex up and snap a picture and land unless you have to drive a long way to the location.

Here's what 89 acres looks like (property surrounded by yellow) from ~600'AGL. The client wanted obilque to show separation from the city of Birmingham, which is beyond the 3rd ridgeline shown. Your heli will be an indescernable speck trying to fly high enough to get 100 acres at even a 45° angle.

120 acres

Here is a shot of 120 acres taken from a slow stick at about 300' with point and shoot 3.2mp.

nice! here's one of about 5,000 acres from the same altitude...once again, fixed wing but not a slow stick, a 1/4 scale super cub sith a wide angle lens on my minolta . If I was going to try the 100 acre shot their requesting I'd either rent a full sized plane for a couple hours or seriously look into a small fixed wing like a slow stick for those types of shots.
