Today I was "gonna" tune the motor after break in and was on approach about 3-4ft off the ground when the throttle started sticking on me! Then she went to full up and down rapidly as I tried to maintain control!!!, Well, I hit throttle cut and brought her in when she landed on uneven ground tipping her over, blade strike then it was over!!! LOL

Carbon Blades
Spindle shaft
fly bar
dent in boom

not bad!

after further inspection, every time I put vibration on the heli "with the starter" or running, the throttle servo would run away wildly back and fourth and stick when manual inputing. Tested this with another servo and it worked fine.

One 9252 down the toilet...LOL, brand new, about 20 flights on her...warranty!!!! LOL

similar thing happened to me last summer. I just started the engine and was trying to power up and the throttle lagged majorly. I would move the throttle and about 3-5 seconds later the throttle servo would move. Luckly i got it shut down before it took off on me. Just changed the servo and it was fine.
Sorry about your loss. Thats an expensive servo to lose.

Damn that's pretty crazy for an almost brand new 9252. Good thing the servo is still under warranty. In terms of why it went bad, I'd say send it to futaba repair for warranty service and check in with them to see what actually failed on it. I've had servo motors burn out after too many flights, and wires coming off the circuit board.

After i found the problem i turned the heli off and did a better inspection. It still did the same thing even when it was removed from the heli. I took the servo apart and didn't find anything. Don't know what caused it. It didn't look like RF interferance. I have had that before and didn't act like that.

hi all!

i had similar problem with my throttle servo. when i was in idleing, the throttle would sometimes jump up a notch and stay there for awhile whilst i moved the throttle stick then suddenly i had control of it again! i tried different servos but same thing happened. so i tried a different rx and wow, it solved the problem!
