Hey all i got a raptor 50 with os 50 engine not the hyper running a 401 gyro with included servo, but am getting some tail wage cant really keep the tail steady even in a hover its holds the tail but with a bit of wag not much but noticable any ideas?

Have you tried turning the gain on the gyro down? This will cause tail wag. It also might your motor causing it if it is not tuned properly. If it is motor problem it is more like a twitch every so often, not a wag.

Is the Gyro initializing properly?

It needs to be turned on in Heading Hold mode to work properly.
Make sure your gain is above 52% in your radio when you first turn the heli on. The light should go solid once initialization is complete.

Other than that... check the above answer.. another good place to start.
