I shipped out a heli parcel post on the 22nd of Feb. NY to MI. Still hasn't gotten there. It was packed fine, Labeled with a paypal shipping label. I don't know how it could take this long. It has insurance on it. I'm just trying to see if anyone else has had the same problem and how it was resolved. I'm not at the 21 day mark to make an insurance claim on it.

Not too unusual. Parcel post is really bottom of the barrel, it will sit at the post office, or any other facility it passes through until there is an opening on a truck. Only then will it ship out. So if there is only enough room for 200 packages, and there are 200 priority and express already, your package will sit until there is an opening.

Next time ship priority, it rarely costs much (if any) more, and it will get there MUCH quicker.

Parcel Post is SUPER SLOW! What you are speaking of is not uncommon at all!

Like eurylokhos said, it goes when there is room and someone remembers that there is a package "waiting to go" and all of the "waiting to gos" that were in front of your have gone.

.

Don't come off the throttle untill you see your GOD!

I've had problems with all of them. I won't use UPS anymore period. Have had trouble with delivery time with PP and Priority Mail. I'm looking real strongly at Fed Ex Ground from now on. So far they have done me right, the price is competitive and everything can be tracked. And, you don't have to wait in line at the PO while the clerks are on break!

Your hit the nail on the head. The shipping process is mirrored by the sense of urgency at the front counter From now on if I go to ship something and I hear "Mayelp you?" or over hear about how their baby's daddy ain't gots a job, I will be out the door before they can say "Could I gets some lotion, I's ashy" I love NY

thanks I have found that ups and fed ex have excellent tracking abilities but with the us postal service It shows checked in at the departing state for some time.. and then all of a sudden it says it was delivered to my house....LOL I hate that.. the other two have an estimated time for delivery and it is usually right on the money and you can see the progress

FedEx Ground usually does fine. If the package is a little oversize though, DHL Express is usually cheaper and they are fast. I shipped an airplane a couple of months ago and saved about 20% with DHL. They will pickup and deliver anywhere, even international, and provide excellent tracking.

I had a heli shipped to me from MA to AL and it took approx. 2 weeks and 3 days being shipped by USPS. Learned my lesson on asking "How are you going to ship this?". This happened to me a month ago.

If it was insured you have to wait 30 days before filing a claim. I got a LOT of info at the local post office when my heli didn't show up at the 2 week mark. Everything they said about the package is moved when space on the truck is available is true! The postal clerk told me that - I about fell out.

Thanks for the info... It lowers my BP a little.... I still cant believe they say its an estimated 2-9 days for delivery though for PP package. More like a frikkin month estimated... Too bad you cant do anything but bitch and moan about it ya know....
