I have done quite abit of searching but no real outcome.
I need to slow a servo down AP tilt,at the present it's to jerky but still need the total movement.
This device must have come of age by now.
I now own a new PC9X 11 but it only has goslow in aircraft and glider non in Heli.
Any HELP Please Cheer's All.

Slowing down a servo is not the best idea. It will be operating well below its optimum efficency.

Best bet is to use reduction gears and remote potentiometer, or, modify servo for unlimited rotation and use reduction pulleys and belts.

Modern servos have been designed for speed and resolution. Hacking them to reduce these qualities seems to be a step backward Can be done to a degree with some servos but not the greatest solution.

tell me a bit more about yout tilt mechanism. Is it unmodified servo or do you have external gear reduction. If you have external gears do you have the servo pot fited on the large gear or left uncoupled?

Angelos My tilt servo not moded internally, outside on the round servo head I screw a large cog, can'nt remember tooth count about double dia.,of servo head. Then use slightly larger cog on the arm holding camera mount. Will post a close up pic next Monday as this is Forum up load day.
One of gallery shots the one showing chopper inflight from left hand side you can just see two round black cogs near camera centre.

My problem is, this just gives the right amount of tilt BUT it is to quick even very slow stick movements makeing it jerky to operate well.
Cheer's Bob......... Hope that helps.
PS Vision Lock sounds good..Now to find it in Aussie.

So... if your servo is not modified does this mean that you have to constantly hold the stick full up if you want full tilt?
