I have crashed twice with my CP not a real heli I hear you now cost me 25.00 I do have a JR Vibe 90 that I am building now yes I will crash but I will pay for my pleasure. Yes I need the 90 cause I cant see worth a sh1t.

Interesting comments to say the least!!!
Well here in rip-off Britain sims are used by from what I gather the majority of flyers the reason being that if they can teach you the sticks well enough to reduce the risk of a bump in real life then they are a valuable asset.
Sims have taught me a fair bit about flying and I'm sure that I would of crashed long ago if it had not been for the hours spent on the computer.
(sims are good for nasty weather days too!!!)

A porking sim would improve performance.

Is there a money back guarantee, and who decides if performance is indeed improved.

cdt, I know the old timers didn't have sims to help them, but they also didn't have gyros, or computer radios. Do you have either of those? . Come on noe don't be a chicken take and old plank rafio and the gyro off and try to fly. The what I see it is anything to make learning to fly easier is well worth it.

Ok so here is your challenge. Fly a fixed Pitch non-gyroed, reed controlled heli inverted.

Thanks
Anthony

Here's the deal.. Sims are a wonderful learning tool. They allow you to practice the basics all the way up to advanced stuff without the higher cost factor. IF you have "stupid" money to just throw away on crash after crash, then get after it. No one is saying that you have to use a sim. Hell if you are that good, then why bother with an instructor. Just think about how many fighter pilots we would loose if there where no flight simulators, and yes, we lost allot of pilots due to "training accidents" back in the day. Oh, and that comment about needing a sim to pork your old lady, well never mind. It is not even worth commenting on

Even if a guy has loads of dough for crash repairs, the bottom line that makes the choice of using a sim to learn the basics a smart idea is the risk of injury for rookies and the spectators nearby when those rookies try to teach themselves without one.

It really is ugly what a 300+ mph tip speed can do to flesh.

With alot of the gadgets out now you can almost program the radio then sit back and have a beer while it flies by itself. May not be far away.

That is true I would much rather be at the field, but my work schedule and weather doesn't always agree. The sim is my temporary fix.

WOW CTD, you are sure a funny fella. Have you thought of taking your act on the road. I have ready many or your posts tonight and have decided that you lied about your age. You have the moronic mentality of a 13 year old.

Hey, that was just said in fun. I hope it pissed you off though.
