Would one of you pros happen to have a closeup video of the your swashplate and its range of movement for cyclic and collective (both separate and together)? I have seen several requests by others and would like to see it as well

Cheers

Why do need to see a video of this??
Just set up for +/-10degs, and 6degs of cyclic on aileron and elevator.

So I could tell where the swash sits and how the linkages operate - I have some doubts about how to adjust the various links to compensate for length of servo levers, etc. Also want to see how "latency" affects swash, or, whether I really understand that whole issue.

Take a look at Jason Krause's site; http://www.jkheli.com
He's got some good set up advice and a pic showing all the rod lengths on his rex. I haven't compared mine to his but I can't be too far out. It'll give you a good starting point anyway.
Not sure what your concerns are with latency? Are you talking about servos working at different speeds?

Just realised, you haven't said what model you've got! JK's settings are for an SE.

chugga-bug,

About to finsh construction and starting tuneup. I have the Helidirect Superframe and have installed the HS-56HB's with the output shaft on the bottom half (upside down if you will)(please see photo in gallery)I get about +6 -8 collective and I think about +- 6 cyclic. I am not sure where to adjust to get more + side collective. The latency issue was a thread (on one of the forums) that was discussing full stick rapid movement (L,R) and how it affects the swash - high latency allegedly causes a "bouncing" motion at the swash that affects precision movement.

I'm not familiar with that frame, but the head set up is the same. What horn/hole are you using? here's a pic of mine. This will give me upto +/- 12 if i wanted it.

Yea he has the main shaft collar upside down as well in that picture.

I have a trex cde and just installed the microheli flybar control system and on forward cyclic I am getting binding/popping at full pitch and full forward, I cant really tell where its coming from, but I think the problem is I have to much cyclic, I just read this and it says to set it up for 6 degrees on elevator and aileron so where and how do you measure this properly, at the swash or the flybar setup??
