The friction on the stick will hold the stick in any last position if you let go, not returning the stick to center. No risk of it mooving in any direction what so ever on its own. As i said i did some mods, so the resistance in the stick is about the same as with the springs on but it wont return the stick to center.
As for the trims they still got their purpose, you still want level swash at center stick....
I know its like a wierd thing to come up with, and i gotta fly it some more to see how i feel about it but so far i like it. Ive diald my expo in normal mode down from 25 to 10, and im holding the hover in all orientations much better without over-correcting nearly as much is i used to. Fly the trex se on the reflex by the way, not as it means anything, but those who now it may agree its hard to hover nice.
The reason the tought sruck my mind in the first place is that i fly some ms flightsim helis aswell, and one day i forgot to plug in the power cord for my ff joystick, giving me no spring return or feedback on the joystick, and all of a sudden i managed to fly the choppers good in the sim.
Dont know alot about real helis, but do the cyclick in these return to center on their own??? Guess theres some aerodynamic force feedback or what to call it but i dont know.
Anyway, this is whats this hobby is all about right, trying sick things noone done before you and maybe this will be the new revolutin in rc-helis
Having loads of fun with it anyway, and my tx is back to normal in 15 mins if i decide this sucks after all.
