My personal preference is the FlightPower EVO20 1800 3S from Duralite here in the States.

Others claim the Apex packs are just as good but I haven't used them yet.

I have both the evo20 1800 and the TP 2100 prolite. I can not tell a difference in performance other than the prolite lasts just a little longer. The evo20 1800 is just a few grams heavier than the prolite 2100. The continuous discharge is only a little better on the evo20 but the evo20 is also capable of putting out far more in a burst. The evo20 is also cheaper.

In short, the evo20 is cheaper, but the prolite lasts longer.

Where have you found the prolite 2100s for $66? That is a killer deal.

Bishop Power Products also sells the Pro Lite 2100 for an excellent price. I think it is like $68, and if you spend $100 with them free shipping. So buy two packs for $136 to your door. They are cool guys as well.

I'm thinking of trying the Apex though, 2 packs for a hundy ain't bad!

I fly the new Apex packs as well. Awesome packs, you can't beat them for the money. And John @ Readyheli is amazing to deal with.

I stand my apex up on its side...of course those are the old ones...the new ones are thinner and they fit lying flat.

Battery Packs

On Hand:

EVO 20 3S 1800
TP Prolite 2100 3S
Apex 15C 2100 3S
TP Prolite 2100 4S

I found the EVO 20's useless compared to the TP & Apex Packs. The TP's still stand on top with me though but you cannot beat the Apex for $100.00 for 2.

I always check my cells with a balancer after flight and thats where TP stands out...never have to balance them. I only run my packs for 6 minute flight times....keeps the packs in excellent shape.
