I've been flying my evo 30 as my "weekday chopper" for a couple of weeks now. I have a Raptor 90 that I fly when I'm feeling lucky.
My problem is this: I used to have a raptor 30, but wanted to try something different, so I got the Evo. IT flies great but seems to have a lot less pop, and punchout power than my raptor did. The engine (os37) and muffler (mavrikk) are the same. I have about +10 degrees on the positive side of pitch.

Is The Evo A LOT heavier? is my set up wrong? IT flies so nice other than the lack of power...

well, the evo30 is mostly a 50 so you ARE taking a bit of a weight
penalty.

the OS37 does NOT like small volume mufflers and is probably a
source of your lack of pop as is headspeed.

If you're running < 1900, it's not going to rock.

maybe I'll try the hatori, or mp2. Though I'm still playing with the idea of a 50

my .37 with a MP2 ran like a madman (in a r30 though) One thing in my EVO .50 that helped it was removing the weights from the paddles...

Ask your Doctor if getting off your ass is right for you.

I've had great success with my OS37 and zimmerman pipe in a shuttle RG, power is almost indistinguisable from the OS50 and zimmerman pipe in my evo50.

i guess it's the pipe, i have the head speed zinging away at over 1900 rpm. what's the usual headspeed for this heli, cause anything less feels unacceptable

paddle weights are already gone
