No one (creditable) is actually trying make anyone change how they fly their own chopper, only pointing out the realities of doing it differently from the majority/"norm", and trying to prevent this particular "newb mistake" from spreading out of hand for the good of the heli "community".
Be different all you want, just accept the realities and don't pass this kind of uniqueness/mistake on to your pupils or there won't be much "community" left.
If not for some universal conformity we wouldn't now have the benefit of "stick view instruction" which doesn't do RescueHelicopter much service anyways, nor his stick view instruction to others.
(another reality.. it does feel good when you've earned the respect of your peers to the point they trust you with their own helis and actually offer them up. (that is, if you're actually capable of flying anyone else's helis (and again, they won't likely offer if they know it requires changing thier setup, so your isolation may prevent you from ever owning that feeling))).
