Marke,

I had to go back and look at mine which is leading edge. The assembly directions even show leading edge. The Align stock tail assembly notes show leading edge for the stock tail rotor but I am going to retract my statement saying he should switch from trailing to leading as I can't find the post describing the pro's/con's of the two setups. As far as reversing it, comparing your picture of the pro tail on page 3 of this thread and comparing the pro tail I have, it looked like you could just flip part #3, the Tail Pitch Slider Horn SE but after looking closely, at least on mine, it is not reversable. So, in saying that, it looks like it was purposely manufactured that way and then they switched it to make it leading edge. Maybe someone else can chime in. I guess if you are not having any binding issues or other abnormal tail movements, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm still waiting.

Has ANYONE received the upgrade???

I don't think I'm going to install it anyway, but this is a very good test of MH lack of customer service!

as stock Align.

The forked arms are 'Z' shaped, looking from the tail blade side. I beleive it has been covered before. There is less throw available for counter clockwise piros then clockwise piros, as per stock Align. My flying skills and Gyro (GY240) does not allow me to verify this

Andy:

I have to apologise for having to vent my fustration here as you have rightly asked customers to email your support. But WHERE ARE MY NEW PINS! I have repeatedly emailed you.

You are once again advertising the V3 verison hoping to get more sales while you have done nothing to help existing customers who were suckered! What cheek to existing customers.

I'm not faulting the product or that there was a problem with the initial release. It's just the damn none existence respect for customers and the I have got your money and that's that attitude.

ANYONE reading this thread: MH customer service suck, buy at your peril!!!

It appears that Andy and microheli are tackling this problem head on. I agree, not a great CustServ point of view, however, they are not hiding.

People are receiving their replacement parts in the US.

Being in the UK, you'll probably have to go through the waiting pains of customs/VAT.

Sorry to hear.

I don't think using the forum is really the proper way to get a response from their customer support side (be it small and/or hard to get hold of). Andy doesn't appear to be their customer support/sales rep. Just a tech voice and eventhough there's a lot of bitter people with the prev tail/pin prob's, it is good to see someone at least remaining here to let people know what's going on somewhat.

I'd buy the tail assembly when it has been tested properly by normal people on normal machines.

I do know from experience that if a company such as microheli has developed some good products but did not have a solid customer service base, that yes the growing pains will be there and the customers will suffer to a degree.

This is a norm with growing business' as I'm sure CC did not have a million knowledgeable CSR's on email/phone with the authority to accept/ship defective parts on the spot from day 1.

I hope microheli (as other growing companies do) learn from this little problem and look into expanding and/or changing their customer service reps/people/procedures/etc...

You cannot expect MH to all of a sudden change their whole company around.

MH needs to assess this situation (which I believe they have) and react in a manner to better help the existing customer base AND themselves as well.

As one of their rep's Andy is still here in the forums listening and responding, I think that shows the small attention to detail they are going through.

I still will not buy the MH Pro tail until I see/read someone or people who have experience flying use them and post satisfactory reviews.

This may seem like a change from my previous post going against them, however I do understand what most growing companies have to go through to not only get a customer service base/prodecure in place, but to have it succeed over a short period of time.

... But honey it was only $$$

TREX888,

If you have contact our support, you will be taken care. Normally shipping from VN by regular post will take longer than FedEx or DHL. With the pin, I think they shipped to you by regular post.

Please be patient! We don't leave anyone behind our products since.

Thanks,

Kookboy,

Thanks for your great and helpful input. We very much appreciate it. To me, customer service is even more important then the products. Without customers, there is no products made. We will strongly improve on customer service side as well we product designs.

Thanks again everyone for all your help.

Taking another step higher!

I used Red Loctite On my Pro Tail fixed the problem.

It came lose w/side to side play . It never fell out but it could have caused a crash . I still love my pro tail but it would be nice to be able to get the shaft in ti . Lighter and stronger. My main shaft and feathering shaft are both ti never bend on me even in a REALLY BAD CRASH .

My best tricks are when I mess up . Oh look you missed it !

my version 1 had the pin probs that i fixed
now i obviusly have version 3 and it has the new pins so to be fair i cant see there been a problem with this from here on
all the lock screws had locktite on them apart from the one holding the control arm (this was left off so it could be packed)
i have found the slider to be the best out there although i havnt tried the duzi one
i think its value for money and a great bit of kit
just waiting for my pins also , i wouldnt even mind paying for them !!
i can get this slider with the gearbox cheeper than a complete align tail system
this pin problem is the only thing i had wrong whilst doing a complete microheli build
i would recomend one of these tail sliders to anyone out there
i also got a little mad earlier on in the post , but in hindsight looking at other threads about faulty parts from other manufacturers and how long they let there problems go without modification i think microheli have sorted this out in a fair mannor
i will continue to buy microheli even after this little hickup
better late than never ay ?

Roger that.

Well, I've got my stock Align Alum tail case with the stock XL plastic slider/rotor/grips.

That's why I started to peek into here.

Going by my setup, this is the last piece I will need to upgrade sooner or later.

430L
Quark 33
Medusa 6V BEC
Rotorworkz G4 Frame
HS56's cyclic
S9650 tail
GY401
Blue gears
Align CNC head
Mavrikk 315 CF Blades

will be ready in a few days for a good maiden.

I'm considering this MH tail.

If anyone can chime in... in a few words tell me why I should grab one.
THnx
