'tomorrow' was way worse than yesterday, strong lumpy winds and grey greyness. The Radix blades blended in perfectly with the greyness so there sure was some ugly flying

Hi

Make sure it's the new type as well, know another shop that just might have them in stock if the wait gets to long

Hi Bob remember my question about the TT blades going in out of track.

Same heli no changes but fit a set of Sabs/NHp's..no tracking probs.

Stuck the TT's on and in/out of track as before. Swapped the TT's to a Rap50 Kasama head..perfect no probs

You were right to assume it was something on my heli. The Sabs/NHP's must have a forward CG or are very stable and don't show up any faults.

Rechecked it all. The brgs are all still good..OH but the grips are well sh%$%£d ..I can't really complain after some 300 hard flights I suppose..I thought they were so so till I checked against a new Rap titan sitting nearby..

I do like to get my moneys worth you know

Bob..you being a Millie man in the past.. I keep having a recuring prob with my Dyna-x..headblock start becoming loose on the mainshaft and start rocking..I'm on no 3 now..What you suggest loctite the sucker on with sleeve retainer or similiar?

Hi Barney

So it does seem that the CG on the TT blades might be a little further back but not so far back as to "generally" to be a problem, the CG will certainly help to make them feel a little more snappy as well.

Regarding the Milly head block didn't have a big problem with this but Robbe did manage to make some which were a loose fit on the shaft, these needed epoxing on to stop the machine getting the shakes.

Cheers
Bob

Yes the TT' do seem pretty perky on the Raptor with the Kasama head

I've tried with two different mainshafts on the Dyna and a Ramster aftermarket head too (Ramster head is a piece of art, beautifully machined). I will get some sleeve lock and keep a blow torch handy when it eventually succumbs to gravity

thanks

Sorry just noticed you said epoxy..do you think that would be a better option than sleevelock then?

Well, at least you can stand to fly right now.
Here it is 10 degres farenheit or -12 celsius.
I can only handle that for about 15 minutes.
I will say that in my younger days, I could fly for hours in this weather. Now, No Way, NO... I don't want to play outside today!
