I have a GV-1 Gov in my raptor, Had it for quite a while. Last couple of flights all of a sudden the RPM just goes up bigtime. I noticed that when I nail the throttle it seems to jump up. Mostly in idle up. I checked the sensor and it's still reading 97%????? It's NOT lean either. In fact I been running it rich to prevent this from happening. Is it possible that the sensor goes bad??? The GOV used to work great. Anyone have a suggestion??

Thanks

I have a raptor 50 and it does the same thing with a new GV1. I have the curves set pretty well and it flies great in normal but when I hit idle up I have to punch the collective to keep the headspeed in check and then it settles in and is fine after the first couple seconds.

What servo are yor running? Is it a super slow one and a super fast one on collective?
Check for a bad wire on the sensor my wiggling all of the wires around while watching the sensor screen.
It is possible that the sensor can be at 97% sitting still but a bad wire or solder joint might be intermitent with the engine vibrating away.
Is this the same sensor that we soldered the wires back onto once before?
Have you put the shrink tube over the sensor to keep it from breaking?

If you can't fix it I'll give you a nice bag of shiny marbles for it.

If all else fails I do always have the 4lb sledge in my truck.
