Hello all,

My Hyper decides to cut out every so often, usually whilst performing a roll or tic-tocs. Heli is fine inverted. Engine is running very cool to touch(1.25 turns out on main). Using 15% coolpower.

I've submitted this before and since then i have checked a few things. Looked in carb for dirt/contamination but it's clean. New clunk lines in main and header tank. The header is staying full during flight so no bubbles being picked up.

The engine doesn't cut out completely but slows right down then bursts back into life again. It's not going into failsafe as i don't notice any loss of control.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me??

Any help much appreciated...

Clunk line too long?

Sometimes they expand after initial installation and pin themselves into a corner. ... especially in header tanks.

Yeah, this problem's so weird. It'll fly geat for a while and then every now and then i get this almost cutting out thing. I've just checked the clunk in the header tank again and it's fine including the grommet that fits into the tank. I've figured if there was a problem with the main tank that the header would prevent it affecting the engine.

As the engine keeps running is it slowing down because you are overloading the disk through manouvers, and when you stop and just hover it picks up again inverted or not. I ask because you seem to have covered most other items like the clunk

I can imagine a heavy handed tic toc causing loading probs but it doesn't always do it. A straight forward roll i wouldn't have thought that would load the engine too much?

Because i'm not 100% sure it isn't going into failsafe even momentarily i thought i would change the throttle failsafe setting. ie set it to half throttle instead? i know this prob isn't a good idea but i could definately say then if this is an issue or if the engine problem is being caused by something else.
