My experience from the past two years of "winter flying" is pretty much along the lines of "z's" comments....10 minutes and it's all over. I found out that you can go to a helluva lot of trouble, cut the fingers out of a lot of gloves (I tried just about all kinds) and, find out, at the end of 10 minutes, your fingers are still frozen. So, my weather criteria is something like this.....stand outside with little or no motion for 15 minutes....if I start sweating, then it's too hot....if I start shivering, then it's too cold. There you have it.

Good luck on your search for something to keep your hands warm...IMHO, kinda' like squirrel-proof bird-feeders and leaf-free gutters....just ain't no such thing.

You could get a job on a major news network as a weather forecaster

I use Zach Spark's cold weather transmitter glove. It rocks!

Use those hothands things. They come in a package, and you shake them up, and they provide heat for up to 10 hours.

I spoke with him in November and he said he wasn't doing any this year. There was one for sale in the Misc section yesterday.
