I would love to get together and do the AP "convention" like TC and those in the Midwest but do not want to travel that far.
Is there a general interest in having an East Coast get together somewhere (to be decided upon between the interested parties)?
Electro212 and I have tossed the idea around and think it would be fun and educational (oops, sorry to through that word in there )
Any takers?

I'd consider it sometime this spring. Most places are pretty close on the right coast. It would be more interesting to see faces than helis.. that way you can put a face to a name.

Of course, you will be paying me a royalty fee, for the use of my copyrighted, patented "AP Convention" concept, right? :-)

Well... I'd settle for a free beer!

Wish all you guys could make it over here next weekend. We're going to have a ball...and learn a lot from each other.

Me too! I'm in the sooner we find the "ideal" setups the sooner we can focus (no punn intended) on building up the AP/V industry.

I've actually considered traverling to the "West Coast" meet but just can't do it this time of year. I would definately be interested in a gathering on the east coast.

I think he's talking about the "conference" here in Albuquerque... on the east bank of the Rio Grande River....

Come on over!

Same here Brett. Time shouldn't be a problem after the holidays and before April. But the NE is not going to cut it for the weather. We're expecting a storm tomorrow night into Monday.....I can't wait for Spring!!

I'm up for it Brett. Savannah GA would be a nice place to visit, and I'm sure there's some interesting photo opps. Maybe even Charleston SC? Much further north of those cities, and we'll be nipply. Much further south and folks like Craig and Anthony would be driving many many hours. But heck, I'll host it here in Birmingham if you guys like. We have a huge heli-only flying field, and there's plenty of photo opps there and around town. Also plenty of hotels, and big shopping nearby for anyone who brings their executive vp's, err, wives. I've been wanting to have one of these for the longest time....we even kicked around the idea of having regional conferences just like this with the RCAPA. I planned to bring in specialists in the industries that touch on ours, such as camera company reps, possibly local photoshop instructors such as college professors, and the like.

West coast

There will be a West Coast on next year if things work out with my schedule.

I wanted to do this last summer, but I just couldn't get the time to put it together.
Next summer is shaping up to be good for me so I will hopefully get one together.

It would be great to have one in all four corners of the country.

Myrtle Beach wouldnt be too bad, a little more north for those in NJ and New England. Birmingham wouldnt be out of the question, that might be a great place.

How about your house? We could all stay with you

I have relatives in VA, and would love to compare notes with everyone. I would love to see what the CV-1 eye pieces look like if anyone has them. Too much money for me to buy sight unseen. Great opportunity to see some of the stuff we just read about...would love to see an electric rig or two also.

As you know Greg the mobile hanger is ready to roll

its just a question of where? i kinda thought the biltmore estate would be a great place large gardens and huge grounds but how do we get them to play ball?? well we do have a bit of time to work that out but it would be cool to do this and at the end have a product that all if us had a hand in doing.

oh yea we now have a 30 ft mast added to our bag of tricks...i ripped it out of a tv news truck sitting in a junk yard
