Vibe, Vibe, Vibe , Vibe, Vibe!!!!

Come on guys, i need to see more pics of this machine and i need to hear why i should buy one of these. I have read the manual and scanned the net, but can't find anything to satisfy my desires. Some Vids would be good too!!!

Can someone explain to me why its £1099 from mcgregor's and $1099 in the states. That works out to be £633.99 a Whopping 40% increase in price. I know now were i will be getting my one from.

Man, you guys in the UK get such a sound shafting I don't know how you can stand it!

Every time I go there I wonder how anyone can afford to do this hobby in your country! Everything is in pounds what it is in AUSTRALIAN dollars here!

For instance, here at the moment, one shop has Vibes on special for AU$1550 which at todays rate means 669 pounds.

Well, midlands price is getting there but still its too steep. Dave i have to agree the i don't like the look of RobGiles canopy, but the kit versions come painted and look better than that. What is selling me on the vibe at the moment is it simplicity. I like the layout of the frames and from what i have seen so far it does look to be a quality kit. Now just if the price was closer to £700.

Just noticed CyberHeli have them up for $1199. They may be the place for my to get mine if they have stock that is.

Canopy

My canopy came as a shell. Not painted , and needed much carving and trimming. Sorry you dont like the paint job, though these are the first negative comments ive heard about it. Oh well, its whats under the hood that matters. And I like that paint just fine. Regards,

RobGiles Canopy

Rob,

No offence meant regarding the paint job, what I should have said is that the canopy looks "squat", whereas the Vigor canopy is much longer. May be its the angle of the shot making it look like it does?

Edit: ForrestGump's canopy doesn't looks quite as squat, may be it is the paint job emphasising its short length?

Hi Dr.Lodge

Well , actually it is.

Vibe canopy is not the sexiest one I've seen. Good news is you can fit Vigor CS Canopy they have provided an extra hole in the chassis for that.

Cheers.

I would do that!!!

Vigor canopy has personality and JR tradition. I really don’t know why they change their design, at least the 3 windows pattern.

Sylphide still has it though....

Gary, unfortunately other countries do NOT have Import Duty & VAT to pay. Plus there is the quantity price break that has to be taken into account.

The £1099 that is listed is the maximum RRP, individual LHS's can (and often do) lower their profit margins to sell it cheaper.

(And do we get some flack for that !!! Even though it's got bugger all to do with us)

Most countries I know have some form of import duty and taxes to add to any products imported from other countries.

I have been told that most Far East countries have very little if any Import Duty / VAT. Likewise I have been told that the USA doesn't have Import Duty / VAT, but they do have state taxes.

Unfortunately the European Community add a penalty tax on goods coming in from the USA because they got their knickers in a twist over Steel Tariffs, so we are screwed every which way you can think of.

Yeah I can believe that, everything in the UK seems more expensive than everywhere else (ie a Big Mac, taxi fares etc).

Mark Christy and I talked about income versus cost of living over there, it was pretty interesting.

I feel sorry for you guys!

Decals

Yes those are LMH decals on the side. At the time I got the canopy, no decals were provided. Something we had laying around.
My canopy is the same exact mold as what you will get with thekits(except for different paintjob) I believe its an "illusion" in my pics. Must be the angle. Yes the Vigor canopy will fit, in fact for the first month I had it, I was using a Vigor Canopy on it because I was waiting for the canopy. However, the new streamline canopy seems to flow much better in 3-D flight, and is much more aerodynamic. Regards,

I asked Curtis when I first saw the Vibe prototype about the canopy change. He told me it was for aerodynamic reasons. Much the same reason the Fury canopy is so skinny. If you look at them, they kind of look alike. But that may be just me. Its one of those things. People will grow to love them in time. Look at the Raptor 30 V1. Butt ugly if you ask me. But some just love it.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.
