Hello all, I ordered my sceadu evo 30 kit this week and should get it sometime next week.. I will be shopping for an engine to put in my heli sometime after that, I've spoken to a few people and they recommend the OS 37 instead of the 32... can you guys give me differences between both and why I should go for one vs the other? Thanks..

37. More power, just as reliable. Biggest downside is the greater fuel consumption but otherwise, 'nuff sed.

You will find a lack of power to be the cause of some of crashes in your future. The 32 is a great engine but you wil out grow it soon, The fuel the 37 drinks is not tht much more and you will one day really appriciate the extra power,,,,JMHO

QUICK! ,,,can someone turn the gravity off for just a second,,,,

os-37 for sure, without a doubt, add a header tank and flight times will be about the same.

hi

,37 Bar None!!! Get either a Toki pipe or a Hatori. All other pipes are a waste with this engine.

just my $.02 cents

I've had both engines. The OS37 has about 16% more power. The OS32 is a capable engine, with amazing power for its size. The plankers at my club still can't get over a 30-size engine that can throw both a 3ft prop (main blades) and a 9 inch prop (tail) at the same time.

The Evo was designed as a 50-class heli. As such, it is quite a bit heavier than a Hawk, Caliber, Concept or Shuttle, which were designed as 30-class helis. As a downsized 50, the Evo is better served by the more powerful OS37.

I have this combination myself. It's a very nice heli and engine combo. Pics are in my gallery.

The 37 is a better match for what the Sceadu can do!

For assembly, consider a Crankshaft Locking Tool ( Like os #71530600 ).

When you remove the backplate, you will expose engine internals. Work like your'e performing open-heart sugery... aka: Clean!!!

Good luck

I had both. the .37 has more power. I was turning 570mm blades on my scretched raptor with power. A very good engine all around. The Run time was hardly different. I have a fifty in it now and have run out of fuel it is so much less. You will need a muffler for the 37 to get the added power advantage.

You would be better with 50 engine, as someone said before EVO is designed for 50 engine.

There is no much difference engine is about $50 and also the 50 kit is $80 but in the long term you will be happier if you had done this.

Anyway your choice it's the best for a 30 size bird.

I went to the OS 37 some time ago and there is no comparison. The 37 has better climeout than the 32 witch is also a good eng but a little under powered for my Raptor v2. I don't even use 100% power because the head would scream even at high pitch.
Try it you won't be sorry
