I need to order servos for my new TRex 450XL CCPM... I was all set to get the HS-56HB's but i was just told they don't fit under the Canopy. The guy at the LHS said the servo arms bind/rub against the stock XL canopy.

Is this true? How much work does it take to make them fit? I thought HS-56's were THE servo for the trex..

I've had two people tell me to get the E-Flight S75's instead.

Help!! I wanted to order them today.. but now i'm not sure what to get.

Bob, What's up with the Karbonite gears? Something besides they tend to strip with any mishap?

Brain, S75's are no HS56's. Do a search and you'll find many who agree.

These fit fine. Good speed and torque. Gearsets etc. are also available.

The HS56 works if you mount them on the inside of the servo mounting flanges with a spacer instead of the outside. Not a big deal but if you want a direct fit use the HS55's.
HDE model has no mounting problems with the HS56's.
Good luck

With the 3110 servo's you just have to get a different set of servo horns because the one they come with are very flimsy. If you put different horns on it solves those problems.

94091's are the ticket. The splines are oversized relative to other micros and they hold up and don't develop slop too fast. I've got 40 flights on a set in this machine:

I have a TREX CDE and have had ZERO problems fitting the HS-56's on it. Just be sure to mount them from the inside and use the smaller, cross servo horns that come with them. Check my gallery for pics.

better pick up some of these hitec horns for your 3110 because it looks like they also have the same flimsy short arms as the 3108
This is from another post where they all said that the hitec servo horns will fit on the 3110

Thanks for you help guys...

I went ahead and bought 3 HS-56's since it seems to be the servo of choice.

I figured why buy servos twice... just get the HS-56's and be done with it (The tower $20 off coupon didn't hurt either ).

I picked up a HS-50 for the tail (using it with a GY240)... I hope that was a good choice .. Im thinking i should have just got another HS-56.
