I'm trying to fit a 611 on my xero g based raptor... the servo is boom mounts, and i can't get it to work. the wires are too short, and so I need to extend either both wires coming out of the box, or the servo wires, about 3 inchs. will this screw anything up?

thanks,

Rhett

Don't know why it would be too short on yours? I'm using a 601 on my Raptor 50 and it fits fine without extending anything and I also have a boom mounted servo. My amp box is located up front with my receiver and it has enough wire to reach all the way back behind the boom mount.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

well, I don't know what to say. my gy611 can't do it on my xero-g frame... I extended the wire about 3 inchs.. and it can't even get to the front.. it's on the side of the frame.

yah, I didn't have any. I had one, but I think it was insufficient guage. oh well, I just cut the connector, and soldered some a piece on. hopefully I can get this thing programmed.

Use an extension with the shortest required distance. Use a heavy duty extension. Extensions comes in the "normal" small wire gauge and "heavy duty" bigger wire gauge.

I've always used a Futaba heavy duty 9" extension in my 601 system and have never had a problem.
